राष्ट्रपति ने राष्ट्रीय खेल और साहस पुरस्कार-2020 से खिलाडिय़ों को सम्मानित किया

राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद ने राष्ट्रीय खेल और साहस पुरस्कार-2020 कार्यक्रम में बतौर मुख्य अतिथि चयनित खिलाडिय़ों को विडियो कान्फ्रेंस के माध्यम से सांकेतिक रूप में विभिन्न पुरस्कारों से नवाजा। कार्यक्रम के सीधा प्रसारण में सोनीपत में तीन खिलाड़ी वर्चुअली शामिल हुए, पर्वतारोही अनीता कुंडू तथा कबड्डी खिलाड़ी दीपक और कबड्डी खिलाड़ी मनप्रीत सिंह शामिल रहे।
खेल मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार के तत्वावधान में शुक्रवार को राष्ट्रीय खेल और साहस पुरस्कार-2020 समारोह का आयोजन वर्चुअल रूप में किया गया। सोनीपत के लघु सचिवालय में कार्यक्रम का सीधा प्रसारण किया गया। यहां छह खिलाडिय़ों को शामिल होना था, लेकिन समारोह में तीन खिलाड़ी ही शामिल हो सके। जबकि दो खिलाड़ी व एक कोच समारोह का हिस्सा नहीं बन सके।
समारोह में वर्चुअल रूप में शामिल खिलाडिय़ों में अनीता कुंडू, दीपक और मनप्रीत सिंह शामिल रहे। उपायुक्त श्याम लाल पूनिया ने सोनीपत में कार्यक्रम में शामिल होकर सम्मानित खिलाडिय़ों को बधाई दी उज्ज्वल भविष्य की कामना की। स्पोर्ट्स अथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया के बहालगढ़ सेंटर की निदेशक ललिता शर्मा मौजूद रही। नगर निगम के संयुक्त आयुक्त सुभाषचंद्र, एचसीएस अधिकारी सिद्धार्थ दहिया, डीआईओ सुधा दहिया आदि अधिकारीगण व खिलाडिय़ों के परिजन मौजूद थे।
लैंड एडवेंचर के लिए अनीता देवी कुंडू को सर्वोच्च खेल पुरस्कार
राष्ट्रीय खेल और साहस पुरस्कार-2020 समारोह के अंतर्गत पर्वतारोही अनीता देवी कुंडू को एडवेंचर के क्षेत्र में दिया जाने वाला सर्वोच्च खेल पुरस्कार तेनजिंग नोर्गे नेशनल एडवेंचर अवॉर्ड प्रदान किया गया। वर्ष-2013 व 2017 और 2019 में विश्व की सर्वोच्च चोटियों माउंट एवरेस्ट तथा माउंट मनासूल को फतह किया। नेपाल व चीन दोनों ही रास्तों से माउंट एवरेस्ट की चढ़ाई करने वाली हिंदुस्तान की इकलौती बेटी बनने का गौरव मिला। वर्ष 2018 में विश्व के सातों महाद्वीपों की चढ़ाई शुरू करते हुए एशिया के माउंट एवरेस्ट, अफ्रीका की किलिमंजारो, यूरोप की एलबुर्स, अंटार्कटिका की विनसन मासिफ, दक्षिणी अमेरिका की अकांकागुवा, ऑस्ट्रेलिया की कारस्टेंस पिरामिड शिखर को फतह किया। जबकि उत्तरी अमेरिका की देनाली के शिखर से मात्र 100 मीटर दूर ही बर्फीले तूफान का सामना किया। इस मौके पर अनीता ने कहा कि उनका यह पुरस्कार साहस की श्रेणी में आता है अत: वे अपना यह पुरस्कार अपने फौजी भाइयों को समर्पित करती हैं, जिनकी बदौलत सभी देशवासी सुरक्षित हैं।
कबड्डी खिलाड़ी दीपक बने अर्जुन
राष्ट्रीय खेल और साहस पुरस्कार-2020 समारोह में कबड्डी खिलाड़ी दीपक को अर्जुन पुरस्कार सम्मनित किया गया। उन्होंने एशियन कबड्डी चैंपियनशिप में वर्ष 2017 में स्वर्ण पदक जीता था तथा 2018 में वे कांस्य पदक विजेता रहे। कबड्डी विश्व कप-2016 में भी वे स्वर्ण पदक लिया।
मनप्रीत सिंह को मिला ध्यान चंद पुरस्कार:
कबड्डी खिलाड़ी होने के साथ कोच मनप्रीत सिंह को राष्ट्रीय खेल और साहस पुरस्कार-2020 समारोह में ध्यानचंद अवॉर्ड से दिया गया। वे विश्व कप कबड्डी और एशियाई खेलों में अपना जौहर दिखा चुके हैं। 10वें एशियाई खेलों में वे स्वर्ण पदक विजेता रहे हैं। खेल से सन्यास लेने के बाद वे कोच की भूमिका निभा रहे हैं।मनप्रीत नेे यह सम्मान नीर गुुुलिया को समर्पित किया है।
समारोह में हिस्सा लेने से वंचित रहे खिलाडिय़ों को मिले विभिन्न पुरस्कार
राष्ट्रीय खेल और साहस पुरस्कार-2020 समारोह में शामिल होने से वंचित रही खिलाडिय़ों व कोच को पुरस्कृत किए। इनमें पहलवान विनेश फौगाट तथा हॉकी खिलाड़ी दीपिका और कुश्ती कोच ओमप्रकाश दहिया शामिल रहे। विनेश फोगाट को राजीव गांधी खेल रत्न अवॉर्ड तथा दीपिका को अर्जुन अवॉर्ड जबकि कोच ओमप्रकाश दहिया को द्रौणाचार्य अवॉर्ड से सम्मानित किया गया।
