दो बार के ओलम्पिक पदक विजेता पहलवान सुशील कुमार ने साल 2008 में ओलंपिक पदक जीता था और तब उसकी जिंदगी पूरी तरह से बदल गई थी। लेकिन पहलवान सागर धनखड़ के हत्याकांड ने पहलवान सुशील को एक विनर से हत्यारा बना दिया। पुलिस इस मामले में अब तक सुशील कुमार समेत कई लोगों को गिरफ्तार कर चुकी है।

पुलिस के अनुसार, 4 और 5 मई, 2021 की देर रात में पहलवान सुशील कुमार ने अपने साथियों के साथ मिलकर रेसलर सागर धनखड़ के साथ जमकर मार-पीट की थी। इस घटना के समय रेसलर सुशील के साथ 12-15 लोग और 3 गाड़ियां मौके पर थीं। इनमें से एक व्यक्ति के हाथ में पिस्तौल भी थी, जिसकी पहचान प्रिंस नाम के तौर पर की गई थी। प्रिंस को भी पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार कर लिया है।
