- चूंकि दूसरे चरण के चुनाव लड़ने वाले उम्मीदवारों को 31 जनवरी 2022 को अंतिम रूप दिया जाएगा, इसलिए आयोग ने राजनीतिक दलों या चुनाव लड़ने वाले उम्मीदवारों की अधिकतम 500 व्यक्तियों या 50% की क्षमता के साथ निर्दिष्ट खुले स्थानों में जनता के साथ शारीरिक बैठकों की अनुमति देने का निर्णय लिया है। जमीन या एसडीएमए द्वारा निर्धारित सीमा, जो भी कम हो, 1 फरवरी, 2022 से 12 फरवरी, 2022 तक (मौन अवधि को छोड़कर)।

चुनावी रैलियों, जनसभाओं पर रोक
चुनाव आयोग ने पांच राज्यों में विधानसभा चुनाव के कार्यक्रम की घोषणा करते हुए 15 जनवरी तक सभी चुनावी रैलियों और जनसभाओं पर रोक लगा दी थी।
प्रेस कांफ्रेंस में मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त सुशील चंद्रा ने राजनीतिक दलों से चुनाव प्रचार के डिजिटल मोड में जाने का आग्रह किया था और चुनावी प्रसारण के लिए सार्वजनिक प्रसारक दूरदर्शन पर राजनीतिक दलों को आवंटित एयर टाइम को दोगुना करने की घोषणा की थी।
तब सार्वजनिक सभाओं पर प्रतिबंध को COVID-19 स्थिति को देखते हुए 22 जनवरी तक बढ़ा दिया गया था। हालाँकि, ECI ने राजनीतिक दलों को अधिकतम 300 व्यक्तियों या हॉल की क्षमता का 50 प्रतिशत या राज्य आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण (SDMA) द्वारा निर्धारित सीमा के साथ इनडोर बैठकें करने की छूट दी।
