हरियाणा प्रदेश का स्वर्णप्रस्थ सोनीपत में विश्व स्तरीय स्वर्णप्रस्थ संग्रहालय की स्थापना की जा रहा है, यह संग्रहालय विश्व स्तरीय होगा जिसमें जिसमें वैदिक रामायण और महाभारत कालीन अलग-अलग काल खंडों की धरोहरों की जानकारी मिलेगी।

हरियाणा प्रदेश का स्वर्णप्रस्थ सोनीपत में विश्व स्तरीय स्वर्णप्रस्थ संग्रहालय की स्थापना की जा रहा है, यह संग्रहालय विश्व स्तरीय होगा जिसमें जिसमें वैदिक रामायण और महाभारत कालीन अलग-अलग काल खंडों की धरोहरों की जानकारी मिलेगी। इसके लिए मेरठ और दिल्ली के साथ साथ हरियाणा के इतिहासकारों का योगदान रहेगा।
सोनीपत की प्राचीन ऐतिहासिक धरोहर
सोसायटी फॉर द डेवलपमेंट एंड ब्यूटीफिकेशन ऑफ दी सोनीपत टाउन संस्था पिछले 20 वर्षों से जिला सोनीपत की प्राचीन ऐतिहासिक धरोहरों को बचाने और उनको पर्यटकों के लिए विकसित करने के कार्य में लगी हुई है। नगर निगम और उपायुक्त सोनीपत के सहयोग से सोनीपत जिले का पहला संग्रहालय यहां तैयार किया जा रहा है जिसके लिए जिला के लोगों द्वारा 35 करोड़ से भी अधिक कीमती प्राचीन वस्तुओं को निशुल्क संग्रहालय को उपलब्ध करवा है जिन सभी वस्तुओं की मेजरमेंट एवं उन पर एक स्थाई नंबर अंकित कर दिया गया है और जल्द ही यह सब वस्तुएं संग्रहालय की शोभा बनेगी।
सोसायटी के सदस्य सचिव राजेश खत्री ने बताया कि यहां इस संग्रहालय में विशेष रुप से ब्यूटीफिकेशन सोसाइटी से जुड़े सभी सदस्य एवं अधिकारीगण के अतिरिक्त भारतीय पुरातत्व विभाग के पूर्व निदेशक डॉ धर्मवीर शर्मा ,इतिहासकार प्रोफेसर केके शर्मा, इंदिरा गांधी राष्ट्रीय कला केंद्र के विभागाध्यक्ष डॉ अंचल पांडया , संस्कृत के विद्वान डॉ एन डी शर्मा , जगपाल सिंह, परिमल कुमार, रवि शंकर , भारत भूषण शर्मा, सहायक संरक्षक सुहैंल, इन्टर्न प्रणव, सह कला सरक्षक जितेंद्र चौहान और कीर्ति पाल , जसबीर खत्री, नरेश चंद्र गुप्ता, कृष्ण कुमार, का सहयोग प्राप्त हो रहा है।
वैदिक रामायण और महाभारत कालीन वस्तुओं की पूरी जानकारी के साथ प्रदर्शित किया जाएगा
राजेश खत्री ने बताया कि यहां इस ऐतिहासिक धरोहर पर यह कोशिश की जा रही है कि एक ही स्थान पर वैदिक रामायण और महाभारत कालीन वस्तुओं की पूरी जानकारी के साथ प्रदर्शित किया जाएगा, जिसमें खासतौर से यह भी दर्शाया जाएगा कि भगवान श्री कृष्ण सोनीपत से तीन बार गुजरे थे। और यहां पर महाभारत के समय का मौजूद पांडव कालीन कुआं और यमुना नदी से संबंधित जानकारी के अतिरिक्त जिला सोनीपत की सभी प्राचीन धरोहरों मंदिरों बावड़ी तालाबों के अतिरिक्त ऐतिहासिक सतकुम्भा धाम , प्राचीन सुंदर साबरी तालाब, भगवान बुद्ध का आगमन गांव कमासपुर, सिखों की कुर्बानी से जुड़ा गांव बड़खालसा, शंभू नाथ मंदिर गांव नाहरी, प्राचीन कोस मीनार, गुरु गोरक्षनाथ का प्राचीन धुंना गांव गोरड, श्री ठाकुरद्वरा पंचायती मंदिर, बाबा जिंदा नाथ आदि क्षेत्रों की जानकारी भी यहां खासतौर से स्थापित की जा रही है।
