पूर्व सांसद जितेंद्र मलिक ने कहा कि किसानों द्वारा इन बिलों के विरोध में शांतिपूर्वक धरना दिया जा रहा है, 200 किसान अपनी जान गंवा चुके हैं, लेकिन सरकार ने उनके प्रति संोदना व्यक्त नहीं की। उन्होंने कहा कि हरियाणा के कृषि मंत्री जेपी दलाल द्वारा आंदोलन के दौरान जान गंवाने वाले किसानों पर दिए गए ब्यानों की कड़े शब्दों में निंदा करते हैं, मंत्री, सांसद व विधायक बनते हैं तो उन्हें अपनी पद की मार्यादाओं का ख्याल रखना होता है।

कृषि मंत्री होते हुए भी उन्होंने इस प्रकार गैर मार्यादित टिप्पणी की। आंदोलन में जान गंवाने वाले किसानों के परिजनों ने जो खोया है उसकी भरपाई कभी नहीं हो सकती। मलिक ने कृषि मंत्री पर गंभीर आरोप भी लगाते हुए यह भी कहा कि जेपी दलाल दूसरों के रूपयों के दम पर राजनीति करते आए हैं, उन्हें किसानों पर टिप्पणी करने से पहले अपने गिरेबान में भी झांकना चाहिए। उन्होंने किसानों के साथ-साथ आम लोगों से भी आह्वान किया कि वे राजनीति से परे हट कर इस आंदोलन को मजबूत करने का काम करें। रामफल सैनी, जाट धर्मशाला के प्रधान वीरेंद्र राठी, भूप सिंह राठी, रमेश नैन, पूर्व सरपंच कर्ण सिंह, रामसिंह, रामकुमार चोपड़ा, हवासिंह, देवेंद्र, नवाब, रमेश आदि मौजूद थे।
