नई दिल्ली: केंद्रीय वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने कहा है कि केंद्र सरकार ने पिछले तीन वित्तीय वर्षों के दौरान पेट्रोल और डीजल पर करों से लगभग 8.02 लाख करोड़ रुपये कमाए हैं। सीतारमण ने कहा कि पेट्रोल और डीजल पर करों से लगभग 8.02 लाख करोड़ रुपये में से 3.71 लाख करोड़ रुपये से अधिक अकेले वित्तीय वर्ष 2020-21 में एकत्र किए गए थे।

पिछले तीन वर्षों के दौरान पेट्रोल और डीजल से एकत्र किए गए उपकर सहित केंद्रीय उत्पाद शुल्क हैं: 2018-19 में 2,10,282 करोड़ रुपये; 2019-20 में 2,19,750 करोड़ रुपये और 2020-21 में 3,71,908 करोड़ रुपये। पिछले तीन वर्षों के दौरान पेट्रोल और डीजल पर उत्पाद शुल्क में वृद्धि और इन ईंधनों पर विभिन्न करों के माध्यम से अर्जित राजस्व के ब्योरे के जवाब में, सीतारमण ने कहा कि पेट्रोल पर उत्पाद शुल्क 5 अक्टूबर को 19.48 रुपये प्रति लीटर था। 2018, 4 नवंबर, 2021 तक 27.90 रुपये प्रति लीटर।
वित्त मंत्री ने मंगलवार को राज्यसभा में एक लिखित जवाब में कहा कि इसी अवधि के दौरान डीजल पर शुल्क 15.33 रुपये प्रति लीटर से बढ़कर 21.80 रुपये हो गया। इस अवधि के दौरान पेट्रोल पर उत्पाद शुल्क 5 अक्टूबर, 2018 के 19.48 रुपये प्रति लीटर से गिरकर 6 जुलाई, 2019 तक 17.98 रुपये हो गया। इसी संदर्भ अवधि के दौरान डीजल पर उत्पाद शुल्क 15.33 रुपये से घटकर 13.83 रुपये हो गया। पेट्रोल और डीजल पर उत्पाद शुल्क 2 फरवरी, 2021 तक बढ़कर क्रमशः 32.98 रुपये और 31.83 रुपये हो गया। 4 नवंबर, 2021 को पेट्रोल और डीजल की कीमतें क्रमशः 27.90 रुपये प्रति लीटर और 21.80 रुपये प्रति लीटर हो गईं।
केंद्र सरकार ने इससे पहले 4 नवंबर को पेट्रोल और डीजल पर उत्पाद शुल्क में क्रमश: 5 रुपये और 10 रुपये प्रति लीटर की कटौती की थी। इस साल दिवाली से पहले किए गए फैसले के बाद कई राज्यों ने दो ईंधन पर मूल्य वर्धित कर (वैट) में कटौती की घोषणा की।
