सिंघु बॉर्डर पर बैठे हजारों किसान केन्द्र द्वारा सितंबर में बनाए गए तीन कृषि कानूनों को वापस लेने और फसलों के लिए न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य प्रणाली को बनाए रखने की गारंटी की मांग को लेकर प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं। प्रदर्शन करने वालों में ज्यादातर किसान पंजाब और हरियाणा से हैं, लेकिन अन्य राज्यों के किसान भी इसमें भाग ले रहे हैं। वहीं केंद्र सरकार अपने इन कृषि कानूनों को कृषि क्षेत्र में महत्वपूर्ण सुधारों को लागू करने योग्य बता रही है। सिंघू बॉर्डर पर 26 नवंबर से धरना दे रहे रणजीत सिंह का कहना है कि चूंकि यह पहला प्रदर्शन स्थल है, इसलिए लोगों का ध्यान इस पर ज्यादा है।

कृषि कानूनों के विरोध में हजारों की संख्या में किसान 23 दिनों से दिल्ली के साथ लगते कुण्डली सिन्धु बॉर्डर पर डटे हुए हैं। किसान सरकार के साथ किसी भी समझौते के मूड में नजर नहीं आ रहे हैं। किसानो की एक ही मांग है कि सरकार कृषि कानून को वापिस ले। हजारो किसान सिंघू, टिकरी और गाजीपुर बॉर्डर पर प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं लेकिन कई मायनों में सिंघू बॉर्डर को ज्यादा सुर्खिया मिल रही हैं । वैसे तो अपनी मांगों और अधिकारों को लेकर टिकरी और गाजीपुर बॉर्डर पर प्रदर्शन कर रहे किसानों में जोश की कोई कमी नहीं है, लेकिन सिंघू बॉर्डर के मुकाबले यहां प्रदर्शनकारियों के लिए उपलब्ध सुविधाओं में कुछ कमी जरूर है। प्रदर्शन के दौरान लगातार सुर्खियों में बने हुए सिंघू बॉर्डर को लगातार मदद मिल रही है, फिर चाहे पर नकदी हो या साजो-सामान के रूप में। पिछले 23 दिन से चल रहे आंदोलन के दौरान लोगों ने व्यक्तिगत रूप से, गुरुद्वारा समितियों और गैर सरकारी संगठनों ने यहां सुविधाओं के लिए दिल खोल कर दान दिया है और तमाम तरह सर्दी और बारिश से बचाव के लिए अत्याधुनिक टेंट भी मुहैया करवाये जा रहें हैं ।

भारतीय किसान मजदूर नौजवान यूनियन के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष राजेंद्र आर्य दादूपुर ने कहा कि शहीद बाबा राम सिंह जी की शहादत व्यर्थ नहीं जाएगी । किसान नेता राजेंद्र आर्य आज शहीद बाबा राम सिंह जी के अन्तिम संस्कार में शामिल हुए व उनके अन्तिम दर्शन किये । इस अवसर पर उन्होंने कहा कि जिस तरीके से आजादी के आंदोलन के दौरान चंद्र शेखर आजाद ने अपनी ही रिवॉल्वर से स्वयं को गोली मार कर शहादत दी थी उसी तरीके से बाबा जी ने शहादत दी । दिल्ली ऊँचा सुनती है इसी लिए बहरे प्रशासन के कान खोलने के लिए धमाके करने पड़ते हैं। बाबा जी की शहादत किसान आंदोलन में जाग्रति पैदा करेगी।
