सुप्रीम कोर्ट में दायर की गई जनहित याचिका पर सुनावाई करते हुए मंगलवार को सुनवाई के बाद आदेश दिए हैं कि कुंडली-सिंघू बॉर्डर पर धरनारत किसान जीटी रोड के एकतरफा मार्ग पर लोगों को आवाजाही के लिए रास्ता दें, इस मुद्दे को लेकर किसानों और प्रशासन के मध्य हुई वार्ता में किसान प्रतिनिधियों ने आश्वासन दिया कि वे कोर्ट का सम्मान करेंगे।

लघु सचिवालय में मंगलवार को प्रशासन के साथ किसान प्रतिनिधियों की बैठक की अध्यक्षता सोनीपत के उपायुक्त ललित सिवाच ने की। उपायुक्त ने बताया कि याचिकाकर्ता मोनिका अग्रवाल की जनहित याचिका (सिविल) पर सुनवाई करते हुए सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने स्पष्ट आदेश दिए हैं कि जनहित में राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग संख्या-44 पर कुंडली-सिंघू बॉर्डर पर धरनारत किसानों से एक तरफ के मार्ग पर आम लोगों को रास्ता दिलाया जाए। उन्होंने किसानों से आग्रह किया कि वे दिल्ली से सोनीपत-पानीपत मार्ग को इसके लिए दे सकते हैं। लेकिन यह मार्ग काफी जर्जर हो चुका है, जिसकी मरम्मत की आवश्यकता है।
उपायुक्त ललित सिवाच ने कहा कि किसानों के धरने के चलते भारतीय राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण के अंतर्गत जारी राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग-44 का निर्माण कार्य लंबे समय से अवरूद्ध है। किसान प्रतिनिधियों ने कहा कि वे सकारात्मक विचार करेंगे। वे संयुक्त किसान मोर्चा के अन्य प्रतिनिधियों के साथ बैठक कर जल्द प्रशासन को जानकारी देंगे। एकतरफ का मार्ग छोडऩे की स्थिति में उन्हें वैकल्पिक जगह उपलब्ध करवाई जाए। दिल्ली की ओर से राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग का बंद किया जाना और दीवार खड़ी करना प्रमुख समस्या है।
