उपायुक्त श्याम लाल पूनिया ने कहा कि सोनीपत में रविवार को सांयकाल तक कोविड-19 (Covid -19 ) कोरोना वायरस के 39 नये पोजिटिव मरीज मिले हैं, जिनमें 13 महिला मरीज सम्मिलित है। इन नये मरीजों के जुड़ाव से जिला में कोरोना वायरस के पोजिटिव मरीजों का कुल आंकड़ा बढक़र 3509 हो गया है।

उपायुक्त पूनिया ने यह जानकारी जिला स्वास्थ्य विभाग से प्राप्त आंकड़ों के आधार पर दी। उन्होंने बताया कि नये पोजिटिव मरीज जिला के ग्रामीण और शहरी दोनों ही क्षेत्रों में मिले हैं। शहरी क्षेत्र के अंतर्गत सिक्का कालोनी में पांच कोरोना पोजिटिव मरीज, सेक्टर-12 में दो, आनंद नगर में एक, पटेल नगर में एक, सुंदर सावरी में एक, ऊषा टावर में एक, कल्याण नगर में दो, अशोक विहार में एक, ज्ञान नगर में एक, सेक्टर-7 में एक तथा श्री नगर में चार कोरोना पोजिटिव मरीज मिले हैं।
ग्रामीण क्षेत्र के तहत चौलका गांव में एक, रिढाऊ में एक, एचएसआईआईडीसी बड़ी में तीन, पतला में एक, राई में चार, टीडीआई कुण्डली में तीन, जाखौली में एक, खेड़ी दहिया में एक, खेवड़ा स्थित सीआपीएफ कैंप में एक तथा आर्य नगर गोहाना में एक कोरोना संक्रमित व्यक्ति मिला है। एक अलावा जिला के अन्य क्षेत्रों में भी दो कोरोना पोजिटिव मरीज मिले है, जिसकी कांटैक्ट ट्रेसिंग जारी है।
