उत्तराखंड के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत ने उत्तराखंड में आगामी विधानसभा चुनाव नहीं लड़ने की पेशकश की है। भाजपा अध्यक्ष जे पी नड्डा को लिखे पत्र में पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री ने उनसे चुनाव नहीं लड़ने के उनके अनुरोध को स्वीकार करने के लिए कहा ताकि वह अपना सारा समय पार्टी की जीत सुनिश्चित करने के लिए काम करने में लगा सकें।

उत्तराखंड के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत ने उत्तराखंड में आगामी विधानसभा चुनाव नहीं लड़ने की पेशकश की है। भाजपा अध्यक्ष जे पी नड्डा को लिखे पत्र में पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री ने उनसे चुनाव नहीं लड़ने के उनके अनुरोध को स्वीकार करने के लिए कहा ताकि वह अपना सारा समय पार्टी की जीत सुनिश्चित करने के लिए काम करने में लगा सकें। उत्तराखंड विधानसभा में डोईवाला निर्वाचन क्षेत्र का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाले त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत ने कहा कि राज्य में बदली राजनीतिक परिस्थितियों के कारण उन्हें चुनाव नहीं लड़ना चाहिए।
“राज्य में परिवर्तन हुआ है। पुष्कर धामी में इसे एक युवा नेता मिला है। बदली हुई राजनीतिक परिस्थितियों में, मुझे लगता है कि मुझे 2022 का विधानसभा चुनाव नहीं लड़ना चाहिए। मैंने पहले अपनी भावनाओं से पार्टी को अवगत कराया था। इस बीच, भारत के पहले चीफ ऑफ डिफेंस स्टाफ जनरल बिपिन रावत के भाई विजय रावत, जिनकी हाल ही में एक हेलीकॉप्टर दुर्घटना में मृत्यु हो गई, बुधवार को भाजपा में शामिल हो गए। हालांकि रावत का नाम भाजपा की 70 में से 59 उम्मीदवारों की पहली सूची में नहीं है, लेकिन भगवा पार्टी उन्हें उत्तराखंड के लिए अगली सूची में अपना उम्मीदवार बना सकती है।

रावत का पार्टी में स्वागत करते हुए धामी ने कहा कि दिवंगत सीडीएस सेवानिवृत्ति के बाद राज्य के लिए काम करना चाहते थे और उनके छोटे भाई उनके दृष्टिकोण को आगे बढ़ाएंगे।
