अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने अमेरिका के सुप्रीम कोर्ट से एक इजाजत मांगी है कि वह अपने ट्विटर अकाउंट पर जो लोग उनकी आलोचना कर रहे हैं। वह उन्हें ब्लॉक कर सकें क्योंकि इससे पहले भी ट्रंप ने 2017 में जो लोग उनकी आलोचना कर रहे थे ,उन्हें ब्लॉक कर दिया था, तो इस मामले में अमेरिका की सुप्रीम कोर्ट में यह मामला चला गया था। लोअर फेडेरल कोर्ट ने कहा है कि डोनाल्ड ट्रंप अपनी आधिकारिक जो जानकारियां हैं। वह ट्वीट के माध्यम से करते हैं ऐसे में उनके जो आलोचक हैं, उन्हें ब्लॉक कर के उनके अभिव्यक्ति के अधिकार छीनने जैसा होगा। कोर्ट के इस फरमान को अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने अमेरिका की सुप्रीम कोर्ट में चुनौती दी है।

क्योंकि डोनाल्ड ट्रंप के उस ट्वीट में ही है लिखा था कि जब मैं आपका राष्ट्रपति हूं। तब तक वाशिंगटन डीसी में कोई भी स्वायत्तता क्षेत्र नहीं होगा। अगर वह ऐसा करने की हिम्मत करेंगे तो उन्हें गंभीर सैन्य बल के प्रयोग का सामना भी करना पड़ेगा। डोनाल्ड ट्रंप के इस ट्वीट से 2 हफ्ते पहले वाशिंगटन के सीएटल मैं प्रोटेस्ट करने वालों ने इसे पुलिस से मुक्त जिला बना दिया था। क्योंकि अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप का यह ट्वीट अमेरिका में हुई अश्वेत जॉर्ज फ्लोएड की मौत के विरोध में हो रहे प्रदर्शनकारियों के संदर्भ में यह ट्वीट किया गया था।
