नई दिल्ली: लगातार बारिश, बड़े भूस्खलन, घरों के बह जाने, उत्तराखंड के इन नजारों ने स्थानीय लोगों के लिए कहर बरपा रखा है. राज्य में मंगलवार को बारिश से कम से कम 42 लोगों की मौत हुई है और भूस्खलन के बाद भी कई लोग मलबे में दबे हुए हैं। डीआईजी नीलेश आनंद भरने ने पीटीआई को बताया, “अकेले कुमाऊं क्षेत्र में हताहतों की संख्या 40 को पार कर गई है। कुमाऊं क्षेत्र में 42 नए लोगों की मौत के साथ, आपदा में मरने वालों की संख्या बढ़कर 47 हो गई है क्योंकि सोमवार को पांच लोगों की मौत हुई थी।
पीटीआई की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, 42 ताजा मौतों में से नैनीताल जिले में 28, अल्मोड़ा और चंपावत में छह-छह और पिथौरागढ़ और उधम सिंह नगर जिलों में एक-एक व्यक्ति की मौत हो गई। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि खराब मौसम के बीच घंटों संघर्ष के बाद शाम को नैनीताल से संपर्क बहाल कर दिया गया।
राज्य में लगातार हो रही बारिश और बादल फटने के मद्देनजर केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह आज शाम उत्तराखंड का दौरा करेंगे. वह समीक्षा बैठक करेंगे और स्थिति का जायजा लेंगे। वह कल उत्तराखंड में हवाई सर्वेक्षण करेंगे। बारिश के प्रकोप के बीच, उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने चारधाम यात्रियों से अपनी अपील दोहराई कि वे जहां हैं वहीं रहें और मौसम में सुधार होने से पहले अपनी यात्रा फिर से शुरू न करें।
