दिल्ली सिख गुरुद्वारा प्रबंधक समिति (डीएसजीएमसी) ने शहर में 125 बिस्तर वाला कोविड-19 अस्पताल बनाने के लिए 20 किलोग्राम सोना और चांदी दान किया है। अस्पताल के निर्माण के लिए गहने बाबा बचन सिंह जी कारसेवा वाले को सौंप दिए गए हैं। डीएसजीएमसी के अध्यक्ष मनजिंदर सिंह सिरसा ने एक संवाददाता सम्मेलन में बताया कि अस्पताल को रिकॉर्ड 60 दिनों में बनाया जाएगा।

उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘ सोना और चांदी जरूरी नहीं है, स्वास्थ्य सेवा सबसे जरूरी है। हम इसका इस्तेमाल लोगों के कल्याण के लिए करना चाहते हैं।’’ सिरसा ने बताया कि अस्पताल में व्यस्कों के लिए 35 आईसीयू बिस्तर और बच्चों के लिए चार आईसीयू बिस्तर होंगे। महिलाओं के लिए अलग से वार्ड भी होगा। अभी यहां कोरोना वायरस के मरीजों का इलाज किया जाएगा और बाद में इसे आम अस्पताल में तब्दील कर दिया जाएगा।
उन्होंने बताया कि राष्ट्रीय राजधानी के रकाबगंज में डीएसजीएमसी पहले ही 400 बिस्तर वाला कोविड देखभाल केन्द्र चला रहा है, जिसमें ऑक्सीजन सांद्रक सहित सभी उपकरण मौजूद हैं।
