अधिकारियों ने कहा कि इस बात की पुष्टि नहीं हुई है कि वह व्यक्ति ओमाइक्रोन वैरिएंट से संक्रमित था, जिसे डब्ल्यूएचओ द्वारा चिंता के एक प्रकार के रूप में नामित किया गया है। रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि वह व्यक्ति 24 नवंबर को केप टाउन से डोंबिवली आया था। अधिकारी ने कहा, “उसने एक सीओवीआईडी -19 परीक्षण किया जो सकारात्मक आया।”
