इस आग से चार किसानों की 15 एकड़ गेहूं की फसल जल कर गई थी। प्राप्त जानकारी अनुसार समालखा के राकसेड़ा गांव के जंगलों में शनिवार की दोपहर को अज्ञात कारणों के चलते आग लग गई थी। तेज हवा चलने की वजह से आग बेगा गांव के खेतों की तरफ बढ़ती चली गई। देखते ही देखते आग ने बेगा गांव के खेतों में खड़ी गन्ने की फसल को अपनी चपेट में ले लिया। सूचना मिलते ही काफी संख्या में ग्रामीण मौके पर पहुंच गए और आग काबू पाने के प्रयासों में जुट गए। लेकिन आग लगातार बढ़ती गई। जिस वजह से दमकल गाड़ी को मौके पर बुला कर आग पर काबू पाया गया।

आग लगने से किसान भारत भूषण भुटानी के साढे आठ एकड़ व किसान रोहतास, सुखबीर और रिंकू की करीब साढे सात एकड़ गन्ने की खड़ी फसल जल कर नष्ट हो गई। किसानों का कहना है गन्ने की फसल जलने की वजह से उन्हें करीब 15 लाख रूपये का नुकसान हुआ है। किसानों ने सरकार से उनके नुकसान का मुआवजा देने की गुहार लगाई है।
