जिले के वाहन चोरी निरोधक स्टाफ ने 25 हजार रूपये का ईनामी बदमाश एवं हत्या की घटना में पैरोल जम्पर को अवैध हथियार सहित गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपी संजय उर्फ काला निवासी शास्त्री कालोनी शहर सोनीपत का रहने वाला है।
उप पुलिस अधीक्षक डा. रविन्द्र कुमार ने पत्रकारवार्ता को संबोधित करते हुए बताया कि वाहन चोरी निरोधक स्टाफ टीम के साथ पीओ, बेल जम्परों व पैरोल जम्परों की खोजबीन करते हुए वर्ष 2011 में थाना सिविल लाईन सोनीपत में दर्ज एक हत्या की घटना में जिसमें आरोपी संजय उर्फ काला निवासी शास्त्री कालोनी शहर सोनीपत ने एक युवती पर तेजाब डालकर हत्या कर दी थी। न्यायालय ने इस घटना में आरोपी को उम्र कैद की सजा सुनाई थी। वर्ष 2017 में सोनीपत जेल से 6 सप्ताह की पैरोल पर आकर फिर से हाजिर ना होकर फरार हो गया था। बाद में सोनीपत पुलिस द्वारा 25 हजार रूपये का ईनाम घाषित किया गया था। वाहन चोरी निरोधक स्टाफ ने उक्त बदमाश को गांव थरया की सीमा से एक अवैध देशी पिस्तौल 12 बोर व दो जिंदा कारतूसों सहित गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपी के विरूध शस्त्र अधिनियम के अंतर्गत थाना सदर सोनीपत में मामला दर्ज किया गया है। आरोपी को कल न्यायालय में पेशकर पुलिस रिमाण्ड पर लिया जाएगा।
