तूफान से ओडिशा के चांदीपुर और अब्दुल कलाम आइलैंड पर DRDO की मिसाइल लॉन्चिंग साइट को नुकसान पहुंचने की आशंका है। लंबी दूरी की मिसाइल्स को यहीं से लॉन्च किया जाता है। 165 किमी प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से हवाएं चल सकती हैं और 2 मीटर से 4.5 मीटर तक लहरें उठ सकती हैं। पश्चिम बंगाल के कोलकाता, हावड़ा और हुगली में भी तूफान का असर दिख रहा है।

- पश्चिम बंगाल के पूर्वी मेदिनीपुर जिले के हल्दिया में सेना, NDRF और तटरक्षक दल के लोग बचाव अभियान में जुटे।
- यास तूफान से प्रभावित हुए लोगों के लिए नौसेना का जहाज INS चिल्का में राहत सामग्री लेकर ओडिशा के खोरदा जिले पहुंचा।
- कोलकाता में सेना के 9 बचाव दलों को तैनाती के लिए तैयार रखा गया है। इनके अलावा 17 दलों को पुरुलिया, झारग्राम, बीरभूम, बर्धमान, पश्चिम मिदनापुर, हावड़ा, हुगली, नादिया के साथ 24 परगना उत्तर और दक्षिण में तैनात किया गया है।
- ओडिशा के बासुदेवपुर में करीब 400 लोगों को शेल्टर होम में शिफ्ट किया गया।
एसएस न्यूज.नई दिल्ली। यास तूफान बुधवार सुबह लगभग 9 बजे ओडिशा के भद्रक जिले के तट से टकराया था। यहां समुद्र में ऊंची लहरें उठ रही हैं। कई कॉलोनियों में समुद्र का पानी भर गया है। ओडिशा और पश्चिम बंगाल के तटीय इलाकों में चक्रवात यास (Cyclone Yaas) का तांडव जारी है। मौसम विभाग के अनुसार यास का लैंडफाल जारी है। इधर बालासोर और भ्रमक में भी तेज हवाओं के साथ बारिश जारी है, वहीं पश्चिम बंगाल को हाई अलर्ट पर रखा गया है। मौसम विभाग के महानिदेशक मृत्युंजय महापात्र ने बताया कि तूफान बालेश्वर के दक्षिण में ओडिशा तट को पार कर रहा है, अभी इसकी हवा की गति 130-140 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे है। लैंडफॉल प्रक्रिया अभी चल रही है जोकि 3 घंटे में पूरी होगी।
कल सुबह तक यह झारखंड पहुंचेगा
मौसम विभाग के महानिदेशक, कल सुबह तक यह झारखंड पहुंचेगा तब इसके हवा की गति 60-70 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे होगी। इसकी सबसे ज्यादा नुकसान पहुंचाने वाली हवा बालेश्वर, भद्रक और पश्चिम बंगाल के मिदिनीपुर में चल रही है। ओडिशा के अंदर के ज़िलों में भी हवा की गति 60-70 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे ही रहेगी। उधर दूसरी तरफ कोलकाता में अधिकारियों ने बताया है कि पश्चिम बंगाल में पूर्वी मिदनापुर और दक्षिण 24 परगना के तटीय इलाकों में चक्रवात के कारण पानी भर गया और नदियों में जलस्तर बढ़ गया।

उधर पश्चिम बंगाल के दीघा में समुद्र का पानी शहर में अपनी दस्तक दें चुका है। इस समय दोनों राज्य हाई अलर्ट पर हैं। पश्चिम बंगाल के नईहाटी और हालीशहर में कई घर तूफ़ान और तेज़ बारिश की वजह से तबाह हो गए हैं। यास तूफ़ान के खतरे को देखते हुए एहतियात के तौर पर कोलकाता एयरपोर्ट को बंद कर दिया गया है, कोलकाता एयरपोर्ट की ओर से बताया गया है कि एयरपोर्ट से 26 मई की सुबह 8.30 बजे से शाम 7.45 बजे तक सभी उड़ानें बंद रहेंगी। सेना की भी तैनाती की गई है। तूफ़ान को देखते हुए एनडीआरएफ ने पांच राज्यों और 1 केन्द्र शासित प्रदेश में 115 टीमों की तैनाती कर दी गयी है। जिनमें से 52 ओडिशा और पश्चिम बंगाल में 45 टीमें शामिल हैं। इससे पहले चक्रवात को देखते हुए रेलवे ने 24 मई से 29 मई के बीच चलने वाली 38 ट्रेनों को रद्द कर दिया था।
चक्रवात का सबसे ज़्यादा असर तटीय ओडिशा और पश्चिम बंगाल में होगा
मौसम विभाग के द्वारा दी गयी जानकारी मुताबिक चक्रवात का सबसे ज़्यादा असर तटीय ओडिशा और पश्चिम बंगाल में होगा। इसके अतिरिक्त अंडमान-निकोबार द्वीप समूह, तमिलनाडु, आंध्रप्रदेश में भी इसका प्रभाव दिखाई देने की आशंका है। इन राज्यों के अलावा झारखंड, केरल के तटवर्ती इलाक़े भी तूफ़ान यास से प्रभावित हो सकते हैं। असम, मेघालय, यूपी और बिहार के कई इलाक़ों में भी तूफ़ान की वजह से भारी बारिश का अलर्ट जारी कर दिया गया है।
मौसम विभाग के अधिकारी ने बताया कि तूफ़ान यास तूफान हर घंटे क़रीब 12 किमी. प्रति घंटे की रफ़्तार से आगे बढ़ रहा है। लैंडफॉल में देरी हो सकती है, शायद सुबह 10-11 बजे से शुरू हो। हवा की रफ़्तार क़रीब 130 किमी. प्रति घंटा. लैंडफॉल बासुदेवपुर-बहांगा इलाक़े (इलाके के थोड़ा उत्तर/दक्षिण) के आसपास होगा।
