भारत यशस्वी वीरों की धरती है। महाराणा प्रताप सिंह ,वीर शिवाजी राव , सुभाष चन्द्र बोस, शहीद भगत सिंह, चन्द्र शेखर आज़ाद आदि शूर वीरों के ऐसे अनगिनत नाम हैं जिनका नाम लेना शुरू करें तो यह बहुत लंबी सूची है। भारत में वीर बांकुरों को जन्म देने वाली मताएं धन्य हैं, उनके पिता महान हैं और उनके परिवारजन सच्चे राष्ट्र भक्त हैं ।

गुरूर से भरे पाकिस्तान के साथ 1965 और 1971के युद्ध में भारतीय सेना के युद्ध कौशल और वीरता को सारी दुनिया ने देखा। चीन के साथ 1962के थोपे गए युद्ध में कम युद्ध सुविधाओं के बावजूद एक एक भारतीय योद्धा ने बीस बीस चीनी दुश्मनों को धूल चटाई।
1965में चालबाज पाकिस्तान बुरी तरह पराजित हुआ बहुत बड़ा भू भाग गवां बैठा,जिसे बाद में भारत ने पाक के बहुत गिड़गिड़ाने के बाद लौटा दिया।
भारत के जांबाजों के सामने 1971के युद्ध में एक लाख पाकिस्तानी कायरों ने आत्म समर्पण कर के एक नया कीर्तिमान बनाया और बांग्ला देश के रूप मै अपने देश के दो टुकड़े करवा बैठा। पाकिस्तान की सेना मानों बनी ही बुरी तरह हार जाने के लिए हो, ऊपर से वहां की सेना न जाने किस बात के तमगे सीने पर लगाए फिरती है।
चोरी चालाकी और कुटिलता से जब पाकिस्तान ने कारगिल की महत्वपूर्ण ऊंची चोटी पर धोखे से कब्जा जमा लिया तब हमारे रण बांकुरों ने उस दुर्गम चोटी पर जाकर उन धूर्तों की गरदन दबोच ली और बेआबरू कर के सीमा पार भगा दिया।
युद्ध में अस्त्र शस्त्र और सेना की बड़ी संख्या ही महत्वपूर्ण नहीं होती।कौरवों के पास विशाल सेना थी फिर भी अपनी अनीति के कारण वे धर्मनिष्ठ पांडवों से बुरी तरह पराजित हुए।
अभी अभी चीन की सेना ने लद्दाख सीमा पर हिमाकत की तो हमारे व जवानों ने गलवान घाटी में उन्हें ऐसा सबक सिखाया जो उनकी पीढ़ियां भी हमेशा याद रखेगी।
