विदेश मंत्री एस. जयशंकर का अमेरिकी दौरा : जयशंकर ने अमेरिकी सांसदों से की मुलाकात, टीका सहयोग तथा क्वाड पर हुई चर्चा
भारत के विदेश मंत्री एस. जयशंकर ने बृहस्पतिवार को प्रभावशाली अमेरिकी सांसदों से मुलाकात की। ये सांसद डेमोक्रेटिक और रिपब्लिकन दोनों ही दलों से थे।
एसएस न्यूज.वाशिंगटन। भारत के विदेश मंत्री एस. जयशंकर ने बृहस्पतिवार को प्रभावशाली अमेरिकी सांसदों से मुलाकात की। ये सांसद डेमोक्रेटिक और रिपब्लिकन दोनों ही दलों से थे। उनके बीच क्वाड तथा टीका सहयोग को लेकर चर्चा हुई। सदन की विदेश मामलों की समिति के अध्यक्ष सांसद ग्रेगरी मीक्स और सांसद माइकल मैककॉल से मुलाकात के बाद जयशंकर ने कहा, ‘‘टीकों को लेकर हमारे सहयोग तथा क्वाड के बारे में चर्चा की। संबंधों को मजबूत बनाने की खातिर उनके नेतृत्व के महत्व को स्वीकार किया। ’’
जयशंकर और अमेरिकी सदन में ‘इंडिया कॉकस’ के सह-अध्यक्ष एवं डेमोक्रेटिक पार्टी से सांसद ब्रेड शेर्मन तथा रिपब्लिकन पार्टी से सांसद स्टीव चाबोट के बीच भी अच्छा संवाद हुआ। विदेश मंत्री ने ट्वीट किया, ‘‘कोविड चुनौती का सामना कर रहे भारत की मदद के लिए अमेरिकी कांग्रेस एक मजबूत स्तंभ रहा है।’’
