शहीद को धर्म, जाति या क्षेत्र में नहीं बांटा जा सकता: एसपी रंधावा
एसपी जश्नदीप सिंह रंधावा ने कहा कि शहीदों की कुर्बानी के बलबूते हमारे देश की सीमाएं सुरक्षित हैं और हम चैन की नींद लेते हैं। शहीदों की कुर्बानी को कोई भी देशवासी भूला नहीं सकता।

एसपी जश्नदीप सिंह रंधावा ने कहा कि शहीदों की कुर्बानी के बलबूते हमारे देश की सीमाएं सुरक्षित हैं और हम चैन की नींद लेते हैं। शहीदों की कुर्बानी को कोई भी देशवासी भूला नहीं सकता। शहीद को धर्म, जाति या क्षेत्र में नहीं बांटा जा सकता है। सभी को अपने अंदर शहीदों के प्रति सम्मान की भावना रखनी चाहिए।
वह बुधवार को पुलिस लाइन में आयोजित हुए शहीद स्मरण उत्सव दिवस कार्यक्रम के अवसर पर बोल रहे थे। कार्यक्रम का आयोजन ड्यूटी के दौरान अपने जीवन का बलिदान करने वाले पुलिस बल के शहीदों की समृति में किया गया। शहीदों को सम्मान देने के लिए दो मिनट का मौन रखा। एसपी ने कहा कि 21 अक्तूबर, 1959 को लद्दाख के हॉट स्प्रिंग नामक स्थान पर चीन के हमले का मुकाबला करते हुए 10 जवान शहीद हुए जो तृतीय एवं द्वितीय बटालियन केंद्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल के थे। इसके बाद से ही जवानों को शहादत को याद करने के लिए प्रत्येक वर्ष 21 अक्तूबर को पुलिस स्मरण दिवस मनाया जाता है। एसपी ने कहा कि कर्तव्य की बलिवेदी पर प्राण न्यौछावर करने वाले सभी पुलिस कर्मियों को सच्ची श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करने का यही प्रयास होगा कि हम भी उनके पदचिन्हों पर चलते हुए देश की रक्षा करें। उन्होंने कहा कि उनका सच्चा मित्र वही जवान है जो अपना कार्य ईमानदारी एवं निष्पक्षता से करता है। ड्यूटी के दौरान पूरी सतर्कता बरतनी चाहिए। उन्होंने बताया कि 1 सितंबर 2019 से 31 अगस्त 2020 के बीच अर्धसैनिक पुलिस संगठनों और पुलिस बलों के कुल 264 अधिकारियों व पुलिसकर्मियों ने कर्तव्यपालन के दौरान अपने प्राणों की आहुति दी है। वहीं अब तक सोनीपत के सात जवान शहीद हो चुके हैं।

उन्होंने इस दौरान पौधरोपण भी किया। इस दौरान एएसपी निकिता खट्टर, एएसपी उदय सिंह, एएसपी गौरव राजपूत, डीएसपी डा.रविंद्र कुमार, डीएसपी मुख्यालय वीरेंद्र सिंह, पुलिस इंस्पेक्टर पूनम हुड्डा व पुलिस प्रवक्ता जगजीत सिंह मौजूद रहे। शहीदों की याद में कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया जाएगा। साथ ही शहीदों के नाम पर रास्तों, पार्कों का नामकरण किया जाएगा। जिन विद्यालयों में शहीद पुलिसकर्मियों ने शिक्षा प्राप्त की थी, वहां पर कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाएंगे। एक दिन की प्रदर्शनी का आयोजन किया जाएगा। शहीदों के परिवार के लोगों को उनके निवास वाले शहर-कस्बे या गांव में समारोह आयोजित कर सम्मानित किया जाएगा।

सोनीपत के सात जवान शहीद हुए है। जिनमें सिपाही अशोक कुमार, सिपाही शेरसिंह, सिपाही रणधीर सिंह, सिपाही रामकिशन सिंह, सिपाही प्रदीप कुमार, सिपाही रविंद्र कुमार व एसपीओ कप्तान सिंह शामिल हैं।
