राज्यसभा सांसद दुष्यंत कुमार गौतम ने कहा कि बीजेपी के उम्मीदवार को यहां मौका देती है, तो निश्चित रूप से इस क्षेत्र के पिछड़ेपन का धब्बा हमेशा-हमेशा के लिए मिट जाएगा। राजनीतिक नब्ज को बहुत अच्छे से समझते हैं और उनका दावा है कि अबकी बार भारतीय जनता पार्टी भारी मतों से जीत दर्ज करेगी। वे पत्रकारों से भाजपा कार्यालय में बात कर रहे थे।
उन्होंने कहा कि जब हुड्डा प्रदेश के मुखिया थे तब उन्होंने इस हल्के का विकास क्यों नहीं किया। मैं यहां बरोदा विधानसभा उपचुनाव के लिए आया हूं। भाजपा के ईमानदार उम्मीदवार पहलवान योगेश्वर दत्त ने पहले भी देश प्रदेश का नाम विदेशों में रोशन किया है और आज पार्टी ने उनको टिकट देकर यह साबित कर दिया है कि हम टिकट को परिवारवाद की बजाए योग्य व्यक्ति को देते हैं ताकि वहां पर मूलभूत सुविधाओं की कोई कमी ना हो और विकास कार्य तेजी से हो। उन्होंने कहा कि बरोदा हल्का शुरुआत से ही पिछड़ा हुआ है हमें पहले की सरकारों से यह पूछना चाहिए कि आप लोगों ने हलके पर ध्यान क्यों नहीं दिया और जब हमारी सरकार इस हलके पर थोड़ा ध्यान देने लग गई है तो चुनावी स्टंट बता रहे हैं। हमने हलके को एक राइस मिल,आईएमटी की घोषणा,जनता कॉलेज को विश्वविद्यालय बनाने की घोषणा जिससे हल्के का शिक्षा स्तर सुधारा जा सके। कांग्रेस पार्टी में तो अंदर ही इतने कांटे हो गए हैं कि वह एक दूसरे को काट रहे हैं और जब सारे कांटे एक दूसरे को काट देंगे तो अंत में कमल का फूल खिलेगा और हल्के का विकास होगा।
सांसद दुष्यंत कुमार गौतम ने कहा कि हम मोदी जी के नारे मजबूत भारत सशक्त भारत को ध्यान में रखते हुए जाति या धर्म से ऊपर उठकर विकास कार्य पूरे प्रदेश में करवा रहे हैं,हमारी सरकार ने बिना पर्ची व खर्ची के हजारों योग्य युवाओं को रोजगार दिया है बरोदा हलके से भी 700 से ज्यादा योग्य युवा आज अपनी मेहनत के दम पर सरकार के अलग-अलग विभागों में कार्य कर रहे हैं यहां के लोग खेल के साथ साथ पढ़ाई में भी अव्वल है। मंच पर सांसद दुष्यंत गौतम के साथ कृषि मंत्री जेपी दलाल,विधायक सोमवीर सांगवान, पूर्व मंत्री कृष्ण लाल पंवार मौजूद रहे।
