हाईकोर्ट से सरपंचों की याचिका का खारिज : हरियाणा में 24 फरवरी के बाद पद पर नहीं रहेंगे सरपंच
हाई कोर्ट के जस्टिस अनिल खेत्रपाल ने हरियाणा की पंचायतों का कार्यकाल पूरा होने की स्थिति में उन्हेंं प्रशासकों के हवाले करने के हरियाणा सरकार के आदेश को चुनौती देने के बाबत दायर याचिकाओं को खारिज कर दिया। हाई कोर्ट ने कहा कि पंचायत का कार्यकाल पूरा होने के बाद उन्हें आगे लगातार काम करते देने का उनका कोई कानूनी अधिकार नहीं है।

सरपंच एसोसिएशन के प्रधान सोमेश कुमार द्वारा दायर याचिका में कहा गया कि हरियाणा की पंचायतों का कार्यकाल 23 फरवरी को पूरा हो रहा है। सरकार ने एक आदेश जारी कर पंचायतों का कार्यकाल पूरा होते ही सभी बीडीपीओ को पंचायतों में प्रशासक लगाने का आदेश जारी कर दिया व सभी सरपंचों को पंचायत का रिकार्ड उनको सौंपने का आदेश जारी कर दिया।याचिका के अनुसार बीडीपीओ, एसडीएम और जिला परिषदों के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारियों पर पहले ही काम का बहुत ज्यादा बोझ रहता है। ऐसे में चुनाव होने तक पंचायतों का काम ठप हो जाएगा। मौजूदा पंचायत प्रतिनिधियों को ही कार्यकारी प्रधान के नाते जिम्मेदारी सौंपी जानी चाहिए, ताकि पंचायतों के कामकाज प्रभावित न हों।
लेकिन कोर्ट से साफ कर दिया समय पूरा होने बाद पद पर बने रहने सरपंच को कोई अधिकार नहीं।
