न्होंने अपने राष्ट्रवादी विचारों के माध्यम से कई भारतीयों को स्वतंत्रता संग्राम का हिस्सा बनने के लिए प्रेरित किया। उनकी राष्ट्रवादी विचारों के कारण ही उन्हें पंजाब केसरी और लायन ऑफ पंजाब का खिताब दिया गया।

सोनीपत (जीजेडी न्यूज ब्यूरो): राई विधायक एवं भाजपा प्रदेश महामंत्री मोहन लाल बड़ौली ने कहा कि महान क्रांतिकारी लाला लाजपत राय की स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन में उनके साहस, संघर्ष और समर्पण की कहानी देशवासियों में देश भक्ति का जज्बा भरती हैं। शुक्रवार को वे सोनीपत में आयोजित काय्रक्रम में लाजपत राय की प्रतिमा पर माल्यार्पण करने के बोद बोल रहे थे।
उन्होंने अपने राष्ट्रवादी विचारों के माध्यम से कई भारतीयों को स्वतंत्रता संग्राम का हिस्सा बनने के लिए प्रेरित किया। उनकी राष्ट्रवादी विचारों के कारण ही उन्हें पंजाब केसरी और लायन ऑफ पंजाब का खिताब दिया गया।
उन्होंने नारी रक्षा के लिए भी महिलाओं को सशक्त होने का आह्वान कर उनमें न केवल आत्मविश्वास का संचार किया, अपितु एक ऐसी राह दिखाई, जिसके चलते महिलाएं भी आजादी के आंदोलन में अपनी आहुति दे सकीं। अनिल आंतिल, सुधीर सिंगला, नवीन मंगला, कुलदीप नागल सहित अनेक गणमान्य व्यक्ति मौजूद रहे।

स्वाधीनता के अमृत महोत्सव के पर गन्नौर में विभिन्न संस्थाओं द्वारा लाला लाजपत राय का 157वां जन्म दिवस पुरानी अनाज मंडी में मनाया गया। मुख्यमंत्री के पूर्व मीडिया सलाहकार राजीव जैन ने बतौर मुख्यातिथि कहा कि हर देशवासी को लाला लाजपत राय और सभी स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों के बलिदान पर गर्व है। इन्ही देशप्रेमियों की बदौलत आज हम खुली फिजा में सांस ले रहे हैं। गन्नौर व्यापार मंडल प्रधान शेखरचंद जैन, राजकुमार अग्रवाल, संदीप सिंघल, योगेश कौशिक, विनोद गोयल, अशोक वर्मा, राकेश जैन, हरिप्रकाश जिंदल, डा. दीपचंद गर्ग, कृष्ण जिंदल, हरीश मदान, डा. राजेश शर्मा, सत्यनारायण गुप्ता आदि मौजूद थे।
