जिला प्रेस क्लब सोनीपत की एक बैठक मीडिया हाऊस क्लब के कार्यालय में स्वर्गीय मनोज शर्मा पत्रकार के परिवार को आर्थिक सहायता से संबंधित विषय को लेकर आयोजित की गई। मौके पर निर्णय लिया गया कि हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री को लिखित पत्र जिला उपायुक्त के माध्यम से सोमवार को भिजवाया जाएगा।
पत्रकार कुलदीप फेमस, नरेंद्र शर्मा परवाना, राम कुमार धीमान, दर्शन लाल मल्होत्रा व राजेश कुमार खत्री की अध्यक्षता में पत्रकार स्वर्गीय मनोज शर्मा की आत्मा की शांति को लेकर 2 मिनट का मौन रखा इसके बाद बैठक की। बैठक में मौजूद जिला प्रेस क्लब के उप प्रधान रविंदर कुमार नारंग, महासचिव राजेश कुमार हसीजा, सह सचिव श्याम सुंदर शर्मा के अतिरिक्त कार्यकारी सदस्य के रूप में मौजूद पत्रकार भंवर सिंह , राजेश आहूजा, बिजेंद्र कुमार, अनिल खत्री, विनोद मोरवाल, संजीव घनघस, राम सिंहमार, श्यामसुंदर वशिष्ठ , सुखबीर सैनी ने अपने विचार रखे जिसमें सर्वसम्मति से स्वर्गीय मनोज शर्मा के परिवार की सहायता करने के प्रस्ताव को पारित किया गया। जिसमें क्लब के सदस्यों के द्वारा एकत्रित की गई नगद राशि उनकी पत्नी अनिता को सौंपी गई। उनके दो बच्चों की पढ़ाई की व्यवस्था करेंगे, 13 वीं रसम क्रिया पर ब्रह्मभोज की व्यवस्था करेंगे, हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री को पत्र सौंपकर परिवार की आर्थिक सहायता व परिवार में एक सदस्य को रोजगार दिलाना आदि शामिल रहे । गौरतलब है कि पत्रकार मनोज शर्मा पत्रकारिता से जुड़कर सामाजिक सरोकार रखते थे। बीमारी के चलते 1 अक्टूबर 2020 को उपचार के दौरान पीजीआई रोहतक में निधन हो गया। वह अपने पीछे 2 बच्चे और पत्नी को छोड़ गए है ।
