नई दिल्ली: वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने मंगलवार को कहा कि भारत में क्रिप्टोकरेंसी पर विज्ञापनों पर प्रतिबंध लगाने पर कोई निर्णय नहीं लिया गया है। देश में क्रिप्टोकरेंसी पर प्रतिबंध लगाने के बारे में पूछे गए एक सवाल के जवाब में राज्यसभा में वित्त मंत्री ने कहा कि यह एक जोखिम भरा क्षेत्र है न कि पूर्ण नियामक ढांचे में।

आरबीआई और सेबी के माध्यम से जागरूकता पैदा करने के लिए कदम उठाए जा रहे हैं। उन्होंने लोगों को सावधान करते हुए कहा कि क्रिप्टो में निवेश करने वाले लोगों को सावधान रहना चाहिए। “सरकार ने लोगों को सचेत करने के लिए एक जागरूकता अभियान शुरू किया है, लेकिन मैं मानता हूं कि जनता को जागरूक करने के लिए और अधिक किया जा सकता है। क्रिप्टोकरेंसी से अवांछनीय गतिविधियों के जोखिम पर कड़ी नजर रखी जा रही है। इस पर विभिन्न स्तरों पर चर्चा हो रही है।
मंत्री ने कहा कि सभी निजी क्रिप्टोकरेंसी को विनियमित करने के लिए चल रहे शीतकालीन सत्र के दौरान केंद्र सरकार संसद में एक नया विधेयक पेश करेगी। विधेयक का उद्देश्य डिजिटल मुद्राओं को विनियमित करने के लिए दिशानिर्देश तैयार करना है।
भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के गवर्नर शक्तिकांत दास ने इससे पहले भी डिजिटल करेंसी में ट्रेडिंग को लेकर चेतावनी जारी की थी। दास ने कहा कि भारत में क्रिप्टोकरेंसी की औपचारिक शुरुआत से पहले बहस और चर्चा की जरूरत थी। उन्होंने यह भी कहा है कि वर्चुअल सिक्कों में लेन-देन का मूल्य भले ही बढ़ गया हो, लेकिन करीब 80 फीसदी खातों में 2,000 रुपये से कम का बैलेंस है।
इस बीच, सांसद सुशील कुमार मोदी ने अपूरणीय टोकन (एनएफटी) के लिए एक अलग कानून की मांग की। राज्यसभा में प्रश्नकाल के दौरान उन्होंने पूछा कि कितने लोगों ने क्रिप्टोकरेंसी की कमाई पर आयकर का भुगतान किया है।
“सरकारी कर्मचारियों को ऋण नहीं देने के लिए बैंकों को कोई नीति या निर्देश नहीं दिया गया है। लेकिन बैंक उपलब्ध केवाईसी के आधार पर कुछ स्तर के विवेक का प्रयोग करते हैं,” सीतारामन ने सदन को बताया जब सांसदों ने सरकारी अधिकारियों को ऋण देने के लिए बैंकों की अनिच्छा के मुद्दे उठाए।
