निर्वाचन अधिकारी एवं एसडीएम आशीष कुमार ने सुपरवाईजरों को कड़े निर्देश दिए कि वे 33-बरोदा उप-चुनाव के लिए 80 वर्ष से अधिक आयुवर्ग तथा दिव्यांग मतदाताओं को पोस्टल बैलेट पेपर उपलब्ध करवायें। निर्वाचन अधिकारी आशीष कुमार शुक्रवार को अपने कार्यालय में बरोदा उप-चुनाव को लेकर नियुक्त सुपरवाईजरों की बैठक को संबोधित कर रहे थे।
उन्होंने बताया कि 80 वर्ष व इससे अधिक उम्र के 5092 मतदाता हैं, जिनमें 2283 पुरुष व 2809 महिला मतदाता हैं। दिव्यांग मतदाताओं की कुल संख्या 1856 हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि सभी मतदाताओं तक पोस्टल बैलेट पेपर पहुंचाना सुनिश्चित करें। उन्होंने कहा कि 12 अक्तूबर तक यह कार्य पूरा किया जाए। तहसीलदार रोशनलाल व अन्य संबंधित अधिकारी मौजूद थे।
नामांकन प्रक्रिया के प्रारंभ के साथ ही दो प्रत्याशियों ने जमा करवाये नामांकन
बरोदा उप-चुनाव लडऩे के लिए नामांकन प्रक्रिया की शुरुआत के पहले दिन दो उम्मीदवारों ने नामांकन जमा करवाये हैं। दोनों ही प्रत्याशियों ने आजाद उम्मीदवार के तौर पर नामांकन भरे हैं। इनमें पहला नामांकन गढ़ी ब्राह्मणान सोनीपत के रमेश खत्री नंबरदार ने जमा करवाया है, जिनकी आयु 59 वर्ष की है। दूसरा नामांकन सोनीपत के वार्ड-30 के निवासी दिक्षित खत्री ने जमा करवाया। नामांकन जमा करवाने की अंतिम तिथि 16 अक्तूबर है। 17 अक्तूबर को नामांकन पत्रों की जांच की जाएगी। नामांकन वापिस लेने की तारीख 19 अक्तूबर है। जबकि 3 नवंबर को मतदान होगा।
