केरल के 2 मछुआरों की हत्या का केस:इटली मरीन्स केस को सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने किया बंद, परिजनों को मिलेगा 4-4 करोड़ मुआवजा
सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने केरल के दो मछुआरों को केरल तट के निकट फरवरी 2012 में मार डालने के मामले में आरोपी दो इतालवी नौसैनिकों के खिलाफ भारत में चल रहे आपराधिक मामले को बंद करने का मंगलवार को निर्देश दिया।
एसएस न्यूज.नई दिल्ली। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने केरल के दो मछुआरों को केरल तट के निकट फरवरी 2012 में मार डालने के मामले में आरोपी दो इतालवी नौसैनिकों के खिलाफ भारत में चल रहे आपराधिक मामले को बंद करने का मंगलवार को निर्देश दिया।
न्यायमूर्ति इंदिरा बनर्जी और न्यायमूर्ति एम.आर. शाह की अवकाशकालीन पीठ ने इस मामले में दो इतावली नौसैनिकों के खिलाफ दर्ज प्राथमिकी और कार्यवाही रद्द कर दी है। पीठ ने कहा कि भारत द्वारा स्वीकृत अंतरराष्ट्रीय मध्यस्थता समझौता (इंटरनेशनल आर्बिटल अवॉर्ड) के अनुरूप, केरल के दो मछुआरों की हत्या के मामले की आगे की जांच इटली गणराज्य में की जाएगी।
न्यायालय ने कहा कि इटली गणराज्य की ओर से दस करोड़ रूपये की क्षतिपूर्ति दी गई है जो ‘‘उचित और पर्याप्त’’ है। न्यायालय ने कहा कि इस राशि में से, केरल के दोनों मछुआरों के वारिसों के नाम पर चार-चार करोड़ रूपये जमा करवाए जाएं तथा बाकी के दो करोड़ रूपये नौका मालिक को दिए जाएं। उल्लेखनीय है कि फरवरी 2012 में भारत ने आरोप लगाया था कि इटली के ध्वज वाले तेल टैंकर एमवी एनरिका लैक्सी पर सवार दो नौसैनिकों ने भारत के विशिष्ट आर्थिक क्षेत्र में मछली पकड़ रहे दो भारतीय मछुआरों को मार डाला।
