भारत-पाक प्रतिद्वंद्वियों के बीच मजबूत ‘ब्रदरहुड’ की शुरुआत गुवाहाटी में 2016 के दक्षिण एशियाई खेलों के दौरान हुई थी। चार साल पहले जब नीरज ने एशियाई खेलों में स्वर्ण पदक जीता था तो अरशद ने कांस्य पदक जीता था। उस समय नीरज अपने पाकिस्तानी प्रतिद्वंद्वियों के साथ ज्यादा खुले नहीं थे, लेकिन अब चीजें बदल गई हैं और दोनों में एक अच्छा रिश्ता बन गया है।
