गन्नौर के गढ़ी केसरी सड़क मार्ग पर रेलवे रोड से सटा हुआ नाला पिछले सात माह से क्षतिग्रस्त अवस्था में पड़ा है। स्लैब टूटने के कारण नाला आठ माह से खुला पड़ा है और हादसों को दावत दे रहा है। लेकिन प्रशासनिक अधिकारी इसकी कोई सुध नहीं ले रहे। किसी भी अधिकारी का इस ओर ध्यान नहीं गया। लोगों का कहना है कि पिछले कई महीनों से यह इसी तरह खुला ही पड़ा है। भारी वाहनों के साथ-साथ दोपहिया वाहन चालक इस रास्ते का प्रयोग करते हैं ऐसे में यदि इस नाले पर स्लैब लगाने का प्रबंध जल्द नहीं किया जाता तो कोई भी दुर्घटना का शिकार हो सकता है।
इस बारे में विधायक निर्मल चौधरी को भी अवगत करवाया जा चुका है, लेकिन कोई सुनवाई नहीं हो रही। अशोक त्यागी, विन्नी त्यागी, कृष्ण कौशिक, जोगेंद्र का कहना है कि खुले नाले रात के अंधेरे में कई बार दिखाई नहीं देते। जिसमें दो पहिया वाहन चालक गिरकर घायल होते रहते हैं। वे इस बारे में जब नगरपालिका के अधिकारियों से बात करते हैं तो वे नाले को पीडब्लूडी विभाग के आधीन बता कर नाले का निर्माण करवाने से मना कर देते हैं।
वहीं पीडब्लूडी विभाग भी नाला उनके विभाग के अंडर न होने की बात कह कर स्लैब का निर्माण करने से इंकार कर देता है। वहीं उन्होंने कहा कि खुले नालों पर स्लैब न रखवा कर अधिकारी शायद किसी बड़े हादसे के इंतजार में है। स्थानीय लोगों ने नगरपालिका अधिकारियों से व्यवस्था को दुरुस्त करने की मांग की है।
