संसद में गूंजा अहीर रेजिमेंट का मुद्दा: अहीर भाईयों के शौर्य का इतिहास किसी परिचय का मोहताज नहीं -दीपेंद्र हुड्डा

चंडीगढ़/जीजेडी न्यूज: संसद में आज शून्यकाल के दौरान हरियाणा से राजयसभा सांसद दीपेंद्र हुड्डा ने भारतीय सेना में अहीर रेजिमेंट के गठन की मांग को उठाया। यदुवंशी समाज का हल और हथियार से बहुत पुराना नाता है और इसके शौर्य का इतिहास किसी परिचय का मोहताज नहीं है। रावतुलाराम से लेकर रेजांग-ला और कारगिल तक जब-जब देश पर कोई आक्रमण हुआ तब-तब ‘जय यादव, जय माधव’ का नारा गूंजा। दीपेंद्र हुड्डा ने सदन से कहा कि अहीरवाल का इलाका उनका अपना इलाका है वो स्वयं करीब 17 साल से सांसद हैं और ऐसा कोई महीना नहीं बीतता जब देश की सीमाओं से अहीरवाल इलाके में शहीदों के शव न आते हों। उन्होंने मांग करी कि अब समय आ गया है कि भारतीय फौज में अहीर रेजिमेंट की स्थापना की जाए।
उन्होंने दिल्ली के डाबर क्षेत्र और दक्षिणी हरियाणा से लेकर पूर्व उत्तरी राजस्थान तक फैले अहीरवाल क्षेत्र का परिचय सदन के सामने रखते हुए कहा कि देशभक्त इलाके अहीरवाल के कोने-कोने में जय जवान जय किसान का नारा गूंजता है। इतिहास बताता है कि 1398 में तैमूर के आक्रमण के समय दुर्जन साल सिंह व जगराम सिंह जैसे वीर योद्धाओं की वीरता से आक्रमणकारियों का सामना किया। 1739 में नादिर शाह के आक्रमण के समय रेवाड़ी नरेश राव बाल किशन के नेतृत्व में 5000 अहीर भाईयों ने सीमाओं की रक्षा करते हुए अपना बलिदान दिया। इसी प्रकार 1857 की क्रांति में अहीरवाल नरेश राव तुलाराम जी और अहीर भाईयों की शौर्य गाथा को कौन नहीं जानता।
दीपेंद्र हुड्डा ने इस बहादुर कौम का इतिहास सदन को बताते हुए कहा कि ब्रिटिश फौज ने फौज में अहीर भाईयों की भर्ती पर रोक लगाई लेकिन जब प्रथम विश्वयुद्ध हुआ तो दोबारा अहीर भाईयों को याद किया गया और साढ़े 19 हजार अहीर भाईयों की भर्ती की गयी। द्वितीय विश्वयुद्ध में 39 हजार अहीर सैनिकों की भर्ती की गयी। विक्टोरिया क्रास तोपखाने में अकेले हवलदार उमराव सिंह का शौर्य आज याद किया जाता है। इस देशभक्त कौम ने 1940 में सिंगापुर में अंग्रेज हुकूमत के खिलाफ बगावत की। नेता जी सुभाष चंद्र बोस के नेतृत्व में आईएनए ने भारी संख्या में अहीर सैनिकों की भर्ती शुरु की। आजादी के बाद का इतिहास देखा जाए तो 1947-48 में कश्मीर पर पाकिस्तानी आक्रमण को रोकते हुए, 1962 में रेजांग-ला की लड़ाई में 120 अहीर सैनिकों ने 5000 चीनी सैनिकों से मोर्चा लिया और चुशुल एयरपोर्ट को दुश्मन के कब्जे से बचाने का काम किया। 1965 में भारत पाकिस्तान युद्ध के दौरान, 1971 के भारत पाकिस्तान युद्ध में या 1999 में कारगिल युद्ध में अहीर भाईयों ने अनेकों परमवीर चक्र, महावीर चक्र, वीर चक्र हासिल किये।
