डा.चहल का चयन दक्षिण कोरिया के प्रतिष्ठित दक्षिण कोरिया के सिजांग स्थित कैंपस में सेंटर फॉर फोटोवोल्टेक मटेरियल में अपना कार्य करेंगे। डा.चहल प्रयोगशाला में 2-डाइमेंशनल डाई –चैल्कोजिनाइड मैटिरियल्स बनाकर, उनका प्रयोग जल को फोटो इलेक्ट्रो कैटालिस्ट के माध्यम से तोड़कर हाइड्रोजन गैस का उत्पादन करने का शोध कार्य करेंगे। हाइड्रोजन गैस का प्रयोग ईंधन के रूप में किया जाएगा। कुलपति प्रो.राजेंद्र कुमार अनायत ने कहा कि संस्थान की प्रतिष्ठा उस शिक्षण संस्थान में हो रहे शोध कार्यों से पता चलती है। शिक्षण संस्थान के लिए अनुसंधान रीड की हड्डी के समान होता है। रजिस्ट्रार प्रो.सुरेश कुमार ने कहा कि विश्वविद्यालय की प्रयोगशालाओं में राष्ट्रीय स्तर की सुविधा उपलब्ध है।
