शारदीय नवरात्र की नवमी के मौके पर कई मंदिरों में पूजा-अर्चना के लिए सुबह से ही भीड़ रही। मां दुर्गा के नौवें स्वरूप मां सिद्धिदात्री की आराधना के लिए शहर के मंदिरों व पूजा पंडालों में श्रद्धालुगण सुबह से ही पहुंचने शुरू हो गए ।

पूर्वी जन कल्याण समिति की ओर से ओल्ड हाउसिंग बोर्ड कालोनी एक्सटेंशन में बनाए गए पूजा पंडाल में भी मां दुर्गा के दर्शन के लिए भक्तों का तांता लगा रहा। पूजा पंडाल में महानवमी पर दोपहर के समय विशेष रूप से हवन का आयोजन किया गया। इस मौके पर छोटी बच्चियों को मां दुर्गा का स्वरूप मानकर उनकी पूजा भी की गई। देर शाम मुख्यमंत्री के पूर्व मीडिया सलाहकार राजीव जैन ने भी पूजा पंडाल में पहुंचकर मां दुर्गा की पूजा अर्चना की।

पंडित रामशंकर शास्त्री ने कहा कि नवरात्रि दिनों में नवमी के दिन को सबसे उत्तम माना गया है। नवरात्रि के अन्य सभी आठ दिनों में की जाने वाली पूजा के बराबर पुण्य फलदायी होती है। सुरेंद्र प्रसाद अम्बष्ठ ने बताया कि शुक्रवार को विजयादशमी के दिन सुबह 9 से 12 बजे दोपहर तक मेडिकल चेकअप कैंप लगेगा। दोपहर बाद देवी की प्रतिमाओं का विसर्जन किया जाएगा।
