गन्नौर में बुधवार की सुबह ईदगाह रोड वाली फाटक के पास वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन की चपेट में आने से एक वृद्ध की मौत हो गई। सूचना मिलने पर जीआरपी चौकी गन्नौर से पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और शव को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टर्माटम के लिए सोनीपत के नागरिक अस्पताल भिजवा दिया।

जांच अधिकारी एसआई राजबीर सिंह ने बताया कि मृतक की पहचान बड़ी निवासी प्रवीन त्यागी के रुप में हुई है। प्रवीन त्यागी अपने घर से मोटरसाइकिल पर राजलू गढी अपने दोस्त से मिलने के लिए निकला था। जब वह ईदगाह रोड वाली फाटक के पास पहुंचा तो वह शौच के लिए रुक गया। उसने अपनी मोटर साइकिल को फाटक के पास खड़ा किया और पटरियों पर शौच के लिए चला गया। वह दिल्ली से कटरा जाने वाली वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन की चपेट में आ गया और उसकी मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। मौके पर पहुंची पुलिस ने मोटरसाइकिल की नंबर प्लेट के आधार पर मृतक की पहचान की। पुलिस ने प्रवीन त्यागी के परिजनों को हादसे की सूचना देकर मौके पर बुलाया और शिनाख्त के बाद शव का पोस्टर्माटम करा शव परिजनों को सौंप दिया है।
