सोनीपत: बाबा जिंदा दो दिवसीय मेले के पहले दिन भारी संख्या में आए श्रद्धालुओं
बाबा जिंदानाथ के महंत बाबा बालकनाथ ने बताया कि लगभग चार सौ वर्ष पहले सिद्ध संत बाबा मस्तनाथ जी यहां पर आए थे। एक चरवाहे को पशु चराते हुए देखा। चरवाहे जसपाल राणा से कहा कि मुझे खीर खानी है तुम मेरे लिए खीर बनाओ।

गन्नौर: सोनीपत के गांव मोई स्थित बाबा जिंदानाथ मेले में पहले दिन शुक्रवार को विभिन्न राज्यों से भारी संख्या में श्रद्धालुओं ने बाबा जिंदा की समाधि पर माथा टेक कर अपने परिवार की खुशहाली की प्रार्थना की। मेले में खिलौनों व मिठाइयों के स्टालों पर बच्चों व महिलाओं ने बच्चों के लिए खरीदारी की, बच्चों ने झूलों का आनंद लिया। पुलिस द्वारा सुरक्षा व्यवस्था की गई। डेरा के संचालक महंत बाबा बालकनाथ ने मेले में आए श्रद्धालुओं को आशीर्वाद दिया। मठ की मान्यता है कि डेरे की भभूत पशुओं के लिए दुध व मनुष्यों को रसोली, मच्छ आदि की बीमारी से छुटकारा दिलाती है।

चरवाहे ने बाबा के चमत्कार से प्रभावित होकर सन्यास लेने का मन बना लिया और उन्होंने बाबा से आग्रह किया कि उन्हे भी अपनी शरण में ले लें। तब बाबा मस्तनाथ ने उसे आशीर्वाद दिया कि समय आने पर तुम जमीन के अंदर समाधि लोगे और उत्तर भारत के हर राज्य के लोग यहां आकर मत्था टेकेंगे। उसके बाद एक दिन चरवाहे जसपाल राणा ने इस स्थान पर अपनी भाभी के साथ जिंदा समाधि ली तभी से बाबा जिंदा नाथ कहलाए।
मेले के पहले दिन श्रद्धालुओं ने गुड़ व झाडू चढ़ा कर मन्नतें मांगी। बाबा जिंदा की समाधि पर सवा 5 किलो गुड़ व झाडू चढ़ा कर मन्नतें मांगी जाती हैं। मन्नतें पूरी होने पर श्रद्धालु यहां आकर गुड़ व दूध चढ़ाते है।
