सोनीपत मामा भांजा चौक के पास वीटा मिल्क और कबीरपंथी आश्रम के सामने नाले के पास करोड़ों रूपए की नगर निगम (नाले) की जमीन पर कुछ भू माफियाओं ने धीरे-धीरे अपने कब्जे में लेने के प्रयास जारी है जहां पहले मलबा मिट्टी डालकर भरत कर धीरे-धीरे जगह को समतल कर दिया गया उसके बाद चारों तरफ चिक लगा दी गई थी। वार्ड 10 से पार्षद ममता लूथरा की ओर से मुख्यमंत्री हरियाणा सरकार, उपायुक्त सोनीपत और नगर निगम सोनीपत को अवांछित तत्वों द्वारा नगर निगम की जमीन पर अवैध कब्जा करने की शिकायत दी गई थी। पुलिस प्रशासन व नगरनिगम की ओर से सोमवार को कार्रवाई की गई और अवैध निर्माण को गिराया गया।
