गांव बैंयापुर निवासी प्रदीप वालिया ने पुलिस को बताया कि बुधवार को अपनी पत्नी पूजा के साथ शादी समारोह में गया था। रात को चोर उनके घर की दीवार फांदकर अंदर घुसे और कमरों की खिड़की की ग्रिल तोड़कर अंदर गए। अंदर सो रहे परिवार के सदस्यों के कमरों की कुंडी बाहर से बंद की। उसके कमरे में घुसे और अलमारी के अंदर से आभूषण व नकदी चोरी कर ले गए। हीरे की दो अंगूठी, हीरे का मंगलसूत्र, हीरे की बालियां, सोने का मंगलसूत्र, सोने की चेन, दो जोड़ी सोने की बालियां, सोने की चूड़ियां, सोने की तीन अंगूठी, एक घड़ी व रिवाल्वर की 17 बुलेट तथा 30 हजार रुपये की नकदी चोरी कर ले गए। परिवार के सदस्य गुरुवार की सुबह उठे तो कुंडी बाहर से बंद मिली। एक कमरे की कुंडी टूटी देखकर वह वहां से बाहर निकले। तो चोरी का पता लगा। सदर थाना पुलिस ने चोरी का मुकदमा दर्ज कर लिया है। पुलिस सीसीटीवी खंगाल रही है।
प्रदीप के पिता लछमन वालिया की सोनीपत में पुराना रोहतक रोड पर उनके पिता प्यारे के नाम पर पेड़े की दुकान है। उनका पूरा परिवार प्यारे पेड़े वाले के नाम से जाना जाता है। उनके घर चोरी का पता लगाने पर सीएम के पूर्व मीडिया सलाहकार राजीव जैन मौके पर पहुंचे। उन्होंने मामले में पुलिस को जल्द कार्रवाई करते हुए चोरों का पता लगाकर गिरफ्तार करने को कहा है।
