नई दिल्ली/जीजेडी न्यूज: क्रिकेट बिरादरी ने पूर्व ऑस्ट्रेलियाई क्रिकेटर एंड्रयू साइमंड्स के दुखद निधन पर शोक व्यक्त किया, जिनकी शनिवार रात एक कार दुर्घटना में मृत्यु हो गई। पुलिस के बयान के मुताबिक, 46 साल के साइमंड्स की ऑस्ट्रेलिया के क्वींसलैंड में एलिस रिवर ब्रिज के पास हर्वे रेंज रोड पर एक कार दुर्घटना में मौत हो गई, जब उनकी कार सड़क से हटकर लुढ़क गई। भारत के पूर्व बल्लेबाज और वर्तमान राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट अकादमी (एनसीए) के प्रमुख वीवीएस लक्ष्मण ने कहा, “भारत में जागने के लिए चौंकाने वाली खबर। शांति से आराम करो, मेरे प्यारे दोस्त। ऐसी दुखद खबर।”
भारत के पूर्व कप्तान विराट कोहली ने भी अपनी संवेदना व्यक्त करते हुए लिखा: “एंड्रयू साइमंड्स के निधन की खबर सुनकर स्तब्ध और दुखी हूं। भगवान उनकी आत्मा को चीर दें और भगवान इस कठिन क्षण में उनके परिवार को शक्ति प्रदान करें।”
भारत के पूर्व स्पिनर हरभजन सिंह ने ट्वीट किया, “एंड्रयू साइमंड्स के आकस्मिक निधन के बारे में सुनकर स्तब्ध हूं। बहुत जल्द चला गया। परिवार और दोस्तों के प्रति हार्दिक संवेदना। दिवंगत आत्मा के लिए प्रार्थना।”
