सीएम के पूर्व मीडिया सलाहकार एवं भाजपा के वरिष्ठ नेता राजीव जैन ने कहा कि लगभग साढ़े चार करोड़ रुपये की लागत से सोनीपतवासियों को दो सडक़ों की बेहतरीन सुविधा दी जाएगी। इस दिशा में किये गये प्रयासों को सफलता मिली है, जिसका लाभ आम जनमानस को मिलेगा।
दुकानदारों ने उन्हें सडक़ की जर्जर हालत दिखाते हुए पुर्ननिर्माण की मांग की। सडक़ का निरीक्षण करते हुए जैन ने कहा कि वे इस दिशा में पहले से प्रयासरत रहे हैं। ककरोई रोड का निर्माण पीडब्ल्यूडी (भवन एवं सडक़ें)विभाग द्वारा किया जाएगा, जबकि लागत राशि नाबार्ड द्वारा दी जाएगी। इसका टेंडर भी लग चुका है। करीब चार किलोमीटर लंबी इस सडक़ के निर्माण पर लगभग 1 करोड़ 88 लाख रुपये की लागत आएगी।
बहालगढ़ से ट्रक यूनियन तक जर्जर हुई सडक़ का निर्माण नगर निगम द्वारा किया जाएगा। उन्होंने बताया कि यह सडक़ भारतीय राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण (एनएचएआई) की है। पहले एनएचएआई ने इस सडक़ का निर्माण पीडब्ल्यूडी (भवन एवं सडक़ें) विभाग के द्वारा करवाने की ओर कदम बढ़ाये थे। पीडब्ल्यूडी से इस सडक़ के निर्माण की जिम्मेदारी नगर निगम को दिलाई गई है। इसके लिए अनुमानित लागत की रकम 2 करोड़ 60 लाख रुपये पीडब्ल्यूडी विभाग द्वारा नगर निगम को स्थानांतरित किए जाएंगे। अत: शीघ्र ही इसका निर्माण कार्य प्रारंभ करवाकर पूरा करवाया जाएगा, जिसकी लंबाई करीब छह किलोमीटर की है। मनोज गोयल, मुकेश एंडी, लक्ष्मण, रघुवीर सिंह, जगबीर, सतपाल कौशिक, राजेंद्र हलवाई, सुरेंद्र शर्मा, सतपाल कटारिया, रजनीश राठी, दरवेश बागड़ी, सचिन अहलावत, ओमप्रकाश जैन,अरूण लांबा आदि गणमान्य व्यक्ति मौजूद थे।
