नई दिल्ली: देश की बेरोजगारी दर दिसंबर में चार महीने के उच्चतम स्तर पर पहुंच गई, सेंटर फॉर मॉनिटरिंग इंडियन इकोनॉमी (सीएमआईई) के आंकड़ों से सोमवार को पता चला। रॉयटर्स की एक समाचार रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, दिसंबर में बेरोजगारी दर बढ़कर 7.9 प्रतिशत हो गई, जो नवंबर में 7.0 प्रतिशत थी, जो अगस्त में 8.3 प्रतिशत के बाद सबसे अधिक है।
कई राज्यों में ओमिक्रॉन कोरोनवायरस वायरस के मामलों में वृद्धि, सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग प्रतिबंध और लॉकडाउन के बाद देश में आर्थिक गतिविधि और उपभोक्ता भावना प्रभावित हुई है। आंकड़ों से पता चलता है कि शहरी बेरोजगारी दर दिसंबर में बढ़कर 9.3 प्रतिशत हो गई, जो पिछले महीने में 8.2 प्रतिशत थी, जबकि ग्रामीण बेरोजगारी दर 6.4 प्रतिशत से बढ़कर 7.3 प्रतिशत हो गई थी।
कई अर्थशास्त्रियों को चिंता है कि ओमाइक्रोन संस्करण पिछली तिमाहियों में देखी गई आर्थिक सुधार को उलट सकता है। बेरोजगारी पर मुंबई स्थित सीएमआईई डेटा अर्थशास्त्रियों और नीति निर्माताओं द्वारा बारीकी से देखा जाता है क्योंकि सरकार मासिक आंकड़े जारी नहीं करती है।

सीएमआईई ने कहा कि सर्वेक्षण की तिथि के अनुसार परिवार के प्रत्येक उपयुक्त सदस्य के रोजगार/बेरोजगारी की स्थिति का पता लगाया जाता है। समाचार रिपोर्टों के अनुसार, अक्टूबर-दिसंबर, 2019 और जनवरी-मार्च, 2021 की प्री-लॉकडाउन अवधि में 15-29 वर्ष आयु वर्ग के शहरी युवाओं में बेरोजगारी दर बढ़कर क्रमशः 19.2 प्रतिशत और 21.1 प्रतिशत हो गई। क्रमश। 25 मार्च, 2020 को वायरस के प्रसार को नियंत्रित करने के लिए सबसे पहले लॉकडाउन लगाया गया था।
