सोमवार को अंबेडकर कालोनी के वासी पूर्व मंत्री कविता जैन से मिलने उनके आवास पर पहुंचे। कालोनीवासियों ने बताया कि प्रशासन ने कालोनीवासियों को कालोनी ध्वस्त करने का नोटिस दिया है। लोगों ने गुहार लगाई कि उनके घरों को तोडऩे से बचाया जाए। उनके खून-पसीने की कमाई को व्यर्थ होने से बचायें। लोगों की समस्या को सुनकर व्यथित हुई पूर्व मंत्री कविता जैन ने कहा कि वे पूर्ण कोशिश करेंगी कि किसी का घर न टूटे। इसके लिए वे अति शीघ्र मुख्यमंत्री से भेंट करेंगी। लोगों के लिए वे पुरजोर मांग करेंगी, ताकि कोई रास्ता निकालकर कालोनी को ध्वस्त करने से बचाया जा सके।

पूर्व मंत्री कविता जैन ने कहा कि वे लोगों के साथ हैं। हर सुख-दुख में वे उनके साथ खड़ी थी और खड़ी रहेंगी। पूर्व मंत्री ने लोगों को आश्वस्त किया कि वे चिंता छोड़ दें। करीब 12 एकड़ में बसी अंबेडकर कालोनी में सैंकड़ों परिवार रहते हैं, जहां सैंकड़ों की संख्या में मकान हैं। इनमें 80 परिवारों को नोटिस दिया गया है। इनमें से किसी भी मकान को टूटने नहीं दिया जाएगा। इसके लिए वे अभी से सक्रिय प्रयास करेंगी। इस दौरान कालोनीवासियों में हवा सिंह स्वामी, रामधारी, रामेश्वर, सुभाष निगम, अजीत, रामेहर मलिक, रामभगत, नरेश, राधेश्याम, अशोक, मुकेश अत्री, राजकुमार चौहान, जसवंत और जगमोहन आदि शामिल रहे।
