नई दिल्ली: लंबी खींचतान और बैठकों की झड़ी के बाद, कांग्रेस ने आखिरकार पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री पद के लिए चरणजीत सिंह चन्नी के नाम का प्रस्ताव रखा। चन्नी आज सुबह 11 बजे राज्य के 16वें मुख्यमंत्री के तौर पर शपथ लेंगे। चरणजीत सिंह चन्नी पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री बनने वाले पहले दलित सिख नेता होंगे। राज्यपाल बनवारीलाल पुरोहित आज सुबह 11 बजे चन्नी के साथ दो उपमुख्यमंत्रियों को शपथ दिलाएंगे।
एआईसीसी के कोषाध्यक्ष पवन कुमार बंसल ने ट्वीट कर खुलासा किया कि सुखजिंदर रंधावा, जो चन्नी की नियुक्ति से कुछ घंटे पहले सीएम पद के लिए सबसे आगे थे, को ब्रह्म मोहिंद्रा (पटियाला ग्रामीण से विधायक) के साथ उपमुख्यमंत्री का पद दिया गया है।
