प्रधान मंत्री ने कहा, “नए ट्रस्टियों और सलाहकारों की भागीदारी पीएम केयर्स फंड के कामकाज के लिए व्यापक दृष्टिकोण प्रदान करेगी। सार्वजनिक जीवन का उनका विशाल अनुभव विभिन्न सार्वजनिक जरूरतों के लिए फंड को अधिक उत्तरदायी बनाने में और मजबूती प्रदान करेगा।”
पीएमओ ने कहा कि माननीय न्यायमूर्ति केटी थॉमस, पूर्व न्यायाधीश, सर्वोच्च न्यायालय, श्री करिया मुंडा, पूर्व उपाध्यक्ष और श्री रतन टाटा पीएम केयर्स फंड के ट्रस्टी के रूप में शामिल हुए।
ट्रस्ट ने राजीव महर्षि, भारत के पूर्व नियंत्रक और महालेखा परीक्षक, सुधा मूर्ति, पूर्व अध्यक्ष, इंफोसिस फाउंडेशन और आनंद शाह, टीच फॉर इंडिया के सह-संस्थापक को पीएम केयर्स फंड के लिए सलाहकार बोर्ड के गठन के लिए नामित करने का भी निर्णय लिया।
