नई दिल्ली: समाजवादी पार्टी के संस्थापक मुलायम सिंह यादव का देश भर के शीर्ष नेताओं समेत लोगों के बीच उत्तर प्रदेश के इटावा जिले में उनके पैतृक गांव में राजकीय सम्मान के साथ अंतिम संस्कार किया गया. 82 वर्षीय मुलायम का लंबी बीमारी के बाद सोमवार सुबह 8.16 बजे गुरुग्राम के मेदांता अस्पताल में निधन हो गया।

राजस्थान के मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत, छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्री भूपेश बघेल और मध्य प्रदेश के पूर्व सीएम कमलनाथ, कांग्रेस का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हुए, तेलंगाना के मुख्यमंत्री के चंद्रशेखर राव, तेलुगु देशम पार्टी के प्रमुख एन चंद्रबाबू नायडू, पूर्व केंद्रीय राज्य मंत्री प्रफुल्ल पटेल और बिहार के उप मुख्यमंत्री तेजस्वी यादव अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्ति थे जिन्होंने समाजवादी नेता को श्रद्धांजलि दी।
यादव पिछले कई दिनों से गुरुग्राम के मेदांता अस्पताल में गंभीर हालत में और जीवन रक्षक दवाओं पर थे। उनकी तबीयत बिगड़ने के बाद 2 अक्टूबर को उन्हें अस्पताल की गहन चिकित्सा इकाई (आईसीयू) में भर्ती कराया गया था। समाचार एजेंसी एएनआई की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, लोकसभा अध्यक्ष ओम बिरला के साथ कई सीएम अंतिम संस्कार में शामिल हुए। मुलायम सिंह के निधन की खबर का ऐलान उनके बेटे और समाजवादी पार्टी सुप्रीमो अखिलेश यादव ने किया. यूपी के पूर्व सीएम के अंतिम संस्कार में रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह, बिहार के डिप्टी सीएम तेजस्वी यादव और पीएसपी प्रमुख शिवपाल यादव मौजूद थे।
मुलायम सिंह यादव उत्तर प्रदेश के सबसे प्रमुख नेताओं में से एक थे जिन्होंने तीन बार राज्य के मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में कार्य किया और केंद्र सरकार में रक्षा मंत्री के रूप में भी कार्य किया। वे 10 बार विधायक और 7 बार लोकसभा सांसद चुने गए।
मुलायम सिंह यादव का पार्थिव शरीर गुरुग्राम के एक अस्पताल में नेता की मौत के कुछ घंटे बाद सोमवार को उनके पैतृक गांव सैफई पहुंचा।
मुलायम को अगस्त में अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था, उन्हें 2 अक्टूबर को आईसीयू में स्थानांतरित कर दिया गया था और तब से वह जीवन रक्षक दवाओं पर थे। अस्पताल सूत्रों के अनुसार सोमवार सुबह 8.15 बजे उन्होंने अंतिम सांस ली।
