आज देश के युवा कार्यक्रम एवं खेल मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार द्वारा राष्ट्रीय खेल पुरस्कारों के लिए आवेदन आमंत्रित किए गए है। जिला खेल एवं युवा कार्यक्रम अधिकारी रमेश वर्मा ने यह जानकारी दी हैं कि राष्ट्रीय खेल पुरस्कारों के लिए इच्छुक उनके कार्यालय में 9 जून सायं 5 बजे तक अपने आवेदन दे सकते हैं।

उन्होंने बताया कि युवा कार्यक्रम एवं खेल मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार द्वारा वर्ष 2021 के लिए राजीव गांधी खेल रत्न पुरस्कार, द्रोर्णाचार्य पुरस्कार, ध्यानचंद पुरस्कार तथा अर्जुन पुरस्कार के लिए आवेदन आमंत्रित किए गए हैं। राष्ट्रीय खेल पुरस्कारों में विभिन्न पहलुओं को शामिल किया जाता है। प्रतिभाशाली खिलाडिय़ों को देश के सर्वोच्च खेल सम्मान राजीव गांधी खेल रत्न और अर्जुन पुरस्कार दिए जाते हैं। कोचिंग के क्षेत्र में उत्कृष्ट योगदान के लिए द्रोणाचार्य पुरस्कार दिया जाता है, जबकि ध्यान चंद पुरस्कार लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट के लिए मिलता है।
