उन्होंने मीडियाकर्मियों से कहा, “लोकतंत्र में न्याय एक अधिकार है और न्याय अभी तक नहीं दिया गया है। हर प्रत्यक्षदर्शी ने गृह राज्य मंत्री के बेटे की पहचान की है और कहा था कि वह इस मामले में शामिल था। केंद्रीय मंत्री को निष्पक्ष जांच सुनिश्चित करने के लिए इस्तीफा देने की जरूरत है। उन्होंने कहा, “कल जिन प्रभावित परिवारों से मैं मिली, उन्होंने केवल न्याय की मांग की। पुलिस बल का इस्तेमाल विपक्षी नेताओं को रोकने के लिए किया गया, लेकिन आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार करने के लिए नहीं।

कई किसान संघों की एक छतरी संस्था संयुक्ता किसान मोर्चा ने आरोप लगाया कि केंद्रीय गृह राज्य मंत्री अजय मिश्रा टेनी के पुत्र आशीष मिश्रा टेनी तीन वाहनों के साथ उस समय पहुंचे जब किसान हेलीपैड पर अपने विरोध से तितर-बितर हो रहे थे और नीचे उतरे किसानों और अंत में एसकेएम नेता तजिंदर सिंह विर्क पर भी सीधे हमला किया, उनके ऊपर एक वाहन चलाने की कोशिश की।
