भारत की आजादी में किसी ने जो सबसे ज्यादा खोया वह है सिंधी समाज, जिनको अपनी मातृभूमि सिंध प्रांत छोड़नी पड़ी, इसी इतिहास को बयां करने के लिए सिंधी समाज 14 अगस्त को सिंधु स्मृति दिवस मनाता है।
मथुरा: भारत की आजादी में किसी ने जो सबसे ज्यादा खोया वह है सिंधी समाज, जिनको अपनी मातृभूमि सिंध प्रांत छोड़नी पड़ी, इसी इतिहास को बयां करने के लिए सिंधी समाज 14 अगस्त को सिंधु स्मृति दिवस मनाता है। भारतीय सिंधु सभा द्वारा इस वर्ष कोरोनाकाल के कारण अपने-अपने घरों में ही 14 अगस्त को देशव्यापी सिंधु स्मृति दिवस मनाने का निर्णय एक ऑनलाइन मीटिंग में लिया गया है।

भारतीय सिंधु सभा के जिलाध्यक्ष रामचंद्र खत्री ने सिंधी परिवारों से अपील की है कि वह 14 अगस्त को अपने घर पर ही अपने बच्चों के साथ अपनी मातृभूमि की स्मृतियां सुनाकर भगवान झूलेलाल और सिंधी संतों का स्मरण करें और अपनी सिंधी बोली और संस्कृति को बनाए रखने का संकल्प लें तथा इस मौके के फोटो-वीडियो अपने सोशल साइट्स पर पोस्ट करें।
