रोडवेज की 172 बसों में से 36 बस ही भेजी गई थी। वे भी अन्य डिपो पर जाकर फंस गई है। भारत बंद के असर ने यातायात को काफी प्रभावित किया। उत्तर रेलवे के दिल्ली मंडल, अंबाला मंडल और फिरोजपुर मंडल के लगभग 20 से ज्यादा जगह पर ट्रैक पर कब्जा करके आंदोलनकारियों द्वारा प्रदर्शन किया गया और वहीं लगभग 30 के करीब ट्रेन प्रभावित हुई हैं।

चंडीगढ़ नई दिल्ली शताब्दी सहित 12 ट्रेन सोमवार को रद्द कर दी गई। लोकल ट्रेन भी रद्द होने की वजह से लोग अपने कार्य क्षेत्र में नहीं पहुंच पाए। सोनीपत में प्रदर्शनकारियों ने रेलवे ट्रैक पर कब्जा कर लिया । तेज रफतार आती माल गाड़ी आगे खड़े होकर उसे रोकर दिया। यहां रेलवे पुलिस के सुरक्षा कर्मियों ने अपनी जान पर खेल कर किसानों की जान बचाई। नहीं कई किसान कट जाते। एक बड़ा हादसा होते होते टला है। कई ट्रेनों का सफर गंतव्य से पहले ही समाप्त कर दिया गया।
सोनीपत के रेलवे स्टेशन पर प्लेटफार्म नंबर 4 पर खड़ी हुई चंडीगढ़ जाने वाली ट्रेन के यात्रियों को ट्रेन में बैठे रहना पड़ा। आंदोलन के कारण रेलवे स्टेशन पर ही कई घंटों तक खड़ा रखा गया। कोटा में रीट का एग्जाम देकर लौट रहे चंडीगढ़ निवासी गोविंद का कहना है की सुबह से करीबन चार घंटे से ट्रेन में बैठे हुए हैं और सोनीपत में उनकी ट्रेन को रोक दिया गया है उन्हें अपने होम टाउन चंडीगढ़ जाना था। दिल्ली से चंडीगढ़ जाने वाली मंजीत कौर ने बताया कि सुबह सात बजे से सोनीपत ट्रेन रुकी हुई है। वह अपने ऑफिस कार्य से संबंधित वे दिल्ली से चंडीगढ़ जा रहे थे। खाने के लिए जो सामान लेकर आए थे। वह खत्म हो चुका है और अब चाय वगैरा से ही काम चल रहा है और खाने की कोई ज्यादा व्यवस्था भी नजर नहीं आई।
रेलवे के अधिकारी इंस्पेक्टर युद्धवीर ने बताया कि सुरक्षा कमि्रयों ने जान पर खेल किसानेां को बचाया है माल गाड़ी के आगे खड़े किसानों को बचाना जरुरी था रेल ड्राइवर और कर्मियों अधसिकारियेां को भी यह निर्देश थो कि ट्रेन की गति अनियंत्रित ना हो।
