कुछ लोगों ने दुकानों को बंद करने की कोशिश की। इसका दूसरे समूह ने विरोध किया। उनके बीच झड़प हो गई। पुलिस तुरंत वहां पहुंची और स्थिति को नियंत्रित करने की कोशिश की। वरिष्ठ अधिकारी तुरंत वहां पहुंचे और बल प्रयोग करके स्थिति को नियंत्रित किया।
कानपुर/जीजेडी न्यूज: उत्तर प्रदेश के एडीजी (कानून व्यवस्था) प्रशांत कुमार ने शुक्रवार को कहा कि एक भाजपा नेता की पैगंबर मुहम्मद पर हालिया टिप्पणी को लेकर कानपुर में हुई हिंसा के सिलसिले में अब तक 18 लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। कानपुर के परेड मार्केट में हुई इस घटना में करीब 10 लोग गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए।
एक संवाददाता सम्मेलन को संबोधित करते हुए, प्रशांत कुमार ने कहा कि दोषियों के खिलाफ गैंगस्टर अधिनियम के तहत कार्रवाई की जाएगी और उनकी संपत्ति को या तो जब्त कर लिया जाएगा या ध्वस्त कर दिया जाएगा, एएनआई ने बताया।
