पूर्व महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री कविता जैन ने कहा कि जैन धर्म के 24वें तीर्थंकर भगवान महावीर स्वामी का जीवन ही उनका संदेश है। उन्होंने दुनिया को अहिंसा, सत्य, अपरिग्रह, अचौर्य (अस्तेय) और ब्रह्मचर्य का निर्वहन पंचशील सिद्धान्त दिए, जिनका आज हर वर्ग, हर समाज के लोगों पर प्रभाव देखने को मिलता है।

रविवार सुबह सेक्टर 15 स्तिथ जैन स्थानक परिसर में भगवान महावीर जयंती अवसर पर आयोजित कार्यक्रम में पहुंची पूर्व मंत्री कविता जैन ने स्प्रेड स्माइल फाउंडेशन द्वारा रेडक्रॉस की मदद से संचालित रक्तदान शिविर तथा जैन मिलन चिंतामणि संस्था द्वारा आयोजित कोविड टीकाकरण अभियान का शुभारंभ किया। पूर्व मंत्री कविता जैन ने कहा कि भगवान महावीर ने मानव को मानव के प्रति ही प्रेम और मित्रता से रहने का संदेश नहीं दिया अपितु मिट्टी, पानी, अग्नि, वायु, वनस्पति से लेकर कीड़े-मकौड़े, पशु-पक्षी आदि के प्रति भी मित्रता और अहिंसक विचार के साथ रहने का उपदेश दिया है।
