विकास एवं पंचायत विभाग हरियाणा के अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव अमित झा ने मुरथल में स्थापित वेस्ट टू एनर्जी प्लांट का निरीक्षण करने के बाद कहा कि प्लांट की क्षमता 750 टीपीडी की है। इससे प्लांट 10 मेगावाट विद्युत का उत्पादन करेगा। यह प्रदेश का पहला वेस्ट टू एनर्जी प्लांट होगा।

- 50 टन कचरा निस्तारण क्षमता, 10 मेगावाट विद्युत उत्पादन होगा
- सोनीपत सहित गन्नौर तथा समालखा, पानीपत का कूड़ा लाया जाएगा

वेस्ट टू एनर्जी प्लांट का दौरा
एसीएस अमित झा ने शुक्रवार को ठोस कूचरा निस्तारण के लिए स्थापित किये जा रहे वेस्ट टू एनर्जी प्लांट का दौरा किया जरुरी दिशा-निर्देश दिए। प्लांट हैड के साथ बात शुरुआती दौर में प्लांट करीब 625 टन कूड़ा ले रहा है, जबकि इसकी क्षमता 750 टन की है। प्लांट को आगामी 20 वर्षों की योजना के साथ तैयार किया जा रहा है।
एसीएस झा ने कहा कि प्लांट में सूखा कूड़ा व गीला कूड़ा अलग-अलग किया जाएगा। इनसे विद्युत उत्पादन तथा खाद का उत्पादन किया जाएगा। यहां सोनीपत सहित गन्नौर तथा समालखा और पानीपत का कूड़ा लाया जाएगा। इससे इन क्षेत्रों में कूड़ा निस्तारण की समस्या हल होगी। साथ ही प्रदूषण पर भी लगाम लगेगी।
इस दौरान एसीएस अमित झा और उपायुक्त ललित सिवाच ने प्लांट परिसर में पौधारोपण करते हुए पर्यावरण संरक्षण का संदेश भी दिया। नगर निगम के आयुक्त जगदीश चंद्र शर्मा और अतिरिक्त उपायुक्त अशोक बंसल ने भी इस मौके पर पौधारोपण किया। इस अवसर पर नगर निगम के संयुक्त आयुक्त सुभाषचंद्र, जिला परिषद के सीईओ अमरदीप सिंह, नगराधीश जितेंद्र जोशी, प्लांट हैड आरके पांडेय, नरेंद्र शर्मा आदि अधिकारी मौजूद थे।
